Network Prompts
ONE: YOU ARE CORDIALLY INVITED You wake up in the morning to find a new application on your tablet. When you open it, you find an invitation to a special banquet for all Norfinbury residents. The banquet is scheduled to take place a couple of days from now, and while the promise of "good food and good company" may be enticing, can you really trust this message? Has everyone else in town been invited, too? And what about anomalies? That many people in one spot sounds risky. Before you RSVP, maybe you should discuss this with your friends on the Network.
TWO: IM MEMORIAM Today, you've woken up to something more than a little concerning. The Admin's familiar Obituary posting has graced the Network--
We mourn the loss of those who have died in the time between the last announcement and this one:
But what follows isn't a set of names of people that you know have recently passed. No, they're all names of people you thought were perfectly fine. In fact, you just talked to them. But most concerning of all is that you can find your name among the list of the dearly departed, as well, and you know for a fact that you haven't died anytime recently--or at all. So is this a glitch, or a sign that maybe you should watch your back?
Action Prompts
THREE: DON'T PANIC I KNOW A GUY It's with a heavy heart that, when you settle into a house for the night with your traveling companion, you realize that one of you has come down with a bad case of frostbite. Or maybe it's not so severe...but that doesn't make it any less grim. Maybe you've been ignoring it, or maybe you only just noticed it on your companion, but whatever the damage is, neither of you can keep on pretending that it isn't a problem.
Luckily, one of you has something nice and sharp. And, we can hope, if one of you isn't a doctor, you can at least say that you've been in contact with one of the other doctors, so you're not going in too blind.
FOUR: DIG DEEP SIX FEET You and your companion set out in the morning, ready for a long day of traveling, but you've hardly left your shelter when you spot a suspicious mound of snow up ahead. That wasn't there yesterday, was it? Even if it was, shouldn't it have been cleared overnight like the rest of the path? It's still early, though, so you have plenty of time to investigate. You'd better hope that you and your companion have some good digging tools. Some good luck wouldn't hurt, either. The last thing you want is for an anomaly to stumble upon your excavation party.

hello......three
But for someone who's about to get his limbs chopped off, he's surprisingly calm about it. For someone who's so young, he's got quite a bit of experience in the limbs-getting-chopped-off department.
He glances up at Roxas, solemn and seemingly prepared for whatever's about to come next. ]
Below the first knuckle. We also need bandages. [ Which...he does not have. ]
you monster
He nods, thankful for the momentary respite from this horrible act.]
Bandages... I have a shirt. If I rip it up that would work, right?
[Medical supplies were not that common around here. How are they going to keep the wound from infecting in the end? Don't think about that right now.]
: ^)
Save it. You'll need it later. [ He uses his head to gesture to his bag, which isn't exactly filled to the brim with necessities, but... ] There's a scarf in there. Use that instead.
[ The lack of medical supplies is going to be a problem. He's used to being patched up in...relatively unconventional ways by human standards and being a lot tougher than this, but there's nothing he can do about it now except place faith in this boy to do the job as well as he can. ]

He hesitates before grabbing the others bag, riffling through it long enough to pull the scarf out. It seems like such a waste...]
You sure? You could use this when you go outside...
[Like, you know, to cover your head and neck with.]
no subject
[ Don't...ask... Hitsugaya likes his scarves. The other one isn't as thick, buried somewhere at the bottom of his bag, but he'd rather not bleed to death. This is his fault, anyway, and Roxas shouldn't have to sacrifice his own belongings because of Hitsugaya's carelessness. ]
Use it.

We need water.
[They need a lot of things. Like an actual doctor.]
no subject
Check the faucet.
[ Assuming there is one around here...and that the water's not all frozen up from the cold. A doctor would be great, but we just can't have nice things, now can we. ]
no subject
I think that's all we got...
[Now it's time to turn back to the task at hand. How many fingers is he cutting off again?]
no subject
He's grateful Roxas came prepared. Hitsugaya nods, moving his hands out onto the tabletop. ]
Are you sure you'll be able to do this?
no subject
He wants to uncap the water, but that might be a bad idea if Hitsugaya jerks around. Can't put this off any longer. Picking up the knife, taking a deep breath... Roxas shakes his head.]
No... But I have to.
[This is going to be messy as he moves to the other side of the table.]
Above the knuckles, right?
no subject
Yes, you do.
[ Rude, but true. He'd do it himself if he could, trust him. At least he won't cry out in pain or anything; he'll make this easy on Roxas. ]
Wherever the exposure is. Don't cut off more than you need to.
