Network Prompts
ONE: BUMP IN THE NIGHT It's dark out, and congratulations - you're inside! What's not inside, you might ask? Monsters. Shadowy monsters that have surrounded whatever house you've taken shelter in. They can't get in... or can they? From time to time, the doors and the walls creak as if under an unbearable pressure.
Who can sleep when it's like this? Maybe you should take to the network to find a distraction. Or maybe someone has advice for getting rid of those things.
TWO: BRING OUT YOUR DEAD We mourn the loss of those who have died in the time between the last announcement and this one:
...is that your name on that list? It might be. Maybe you should let the others know you're not actually dead. Or, you know, if you happen to spot the name of someone you know and love on there, it might be time to ask around and see if anyone knows what happened to your dearly departed...
Action Prompts
THREE: KYRIE ELEISON You've found yourself in a small chapel, complete with bolted-down pews, an altar devoid of symbols, and stained glass windows depicting various saints. It's quiet... one might even say dead quiet. Which is a really awful pun to be making, considering if you follow the stairs down to the basement you'll find a morgue.
Explore to your heart's content, but you'll be forced out at 7 PM. Hopefully you don't find any unfortunately familiar faces among the dead.
FOUR: LIGHTS OUT Against all odds, you've managed to make it to shelter for the night. You pull the door shut behind you and turn to look at your surroundings - and that's when you see it. A ... person. Is it a person? It's hard to tell, because a moment later, you're plunged into darkness.
...better hope that's another unfortunate visitor to Norfinbury you've been locked in with, and not something more threatening.
Thorfinn was used to the snow, it had never bothered him much having spent his earlier years in Iceland* he was okay with it but he knew to fear it. It was when he found his way into the church that his eyes went wide. Sure, he had seen churches before but stained glass always seemed to amaze him. He was still a little out of it from what had happened before he arrived so he sat on one of the pews his mind idly wondering why people cling to such places. His gods seemed much easier to please.
Having heard a noise he turned fast, snarling as he grabbed for his knives... before remembering they were gone.
He was not great when it came to English so his brown eyes narrowed as he slowly stood. He hated being unarmed and started to stand up slowly, he didn't need to be armed to be dangerous but this place was not one he takes easy.
"English...not...so good." He didn't know what she was saying, he knew so little words in English. However, he was good with body language so he didn't think she was too much of a threat yet.
Thorfinn at least being a very good little viking has excellent hearing ...granted it does nothing when those words sound as alien as the Welsh speaking did. He just looks confused a split second. Luckily he did seem to grasp that she didn't understand so he stepped closer, holding his hands to the side. Showing himself unarmed.
"No. English." He repeated, this time louder, shaking his head to further show his point.
Thorfinn didn't like this one bit, granted he was used to the language barrier but here where he can't just survive on his own merit he knows people are rare.
He took out the tablet motioning her closer as he very carefully swooped symbols on the screen then held it out. The sender field left blank as he pointed it to her, he could somehow read the messages so, he figured this might fix their language issue. He held the tablet out to her.
"Oh!" She understands immediately, and scrambles through her pockets for her own tablet. Once she has it in hand she tucks it under her arm and takes his to quickly type her username in to the recipient field. @Spoiler.
[ The translation took him a moment to read as his reading skills and writing skills are very subpar. He's a child warrior not a scholar. His hands are even covered in scars. He looked up rather grim after it clicked.]
@spoiler You escaped, Hel? You are lucky to be walking. Do you need help back to the shelters?
[ Thorfinn looked back to the stained glass a moment before he started to put the tablet away before thinking of it. Motioning for her to take the lead.]
He nods, taking a moment to look around for anything to make into a weapon... Because he's skillzy like that. Still seeing little worth taking he picked up his bag and looked at her nodding again to signal for her to lead the way.
There's nothing to make weapons out of - never is. It's like they scoured the whole place, leaving only strategically placed and apparently useless items. She has two dog leashes. Luckily she's creative enough to use them as rope.

She died two days ago, and only now finds herself walking out of a familiar morgue. Alvin Draper is down there somewhere. She shudders at the thought.
"Who're you?" She asks too loudly, still not having adjusted to the deafness that came with her back to the land of the living.

"What?" This time her voice is too quiet, but she has no idea.
"I can't hear anything. Can you say that again?"

"No. English." He repeated, this time louder, shaking his head to further show his point.

"Well that's lucky," she comments, too loud this time in an overly cheery tone. "Neither of us can understand the other. Swell. So glad to be back."
She doesn't really know what else to say. What language does he speak anyway? He looks a little feral.

I am sorry, I can not understand English. My name is Thorfinn, son of Thors.
He hit enter once she put her name his brown eyes looking at her, strange woman this world had.

I'm Stephanie. I died and now I'm deaf but alive so I guess things are mostly looking up.

I think I'm okay, apart from not being able to hear. I know where my friends should be around now. I'd better let them know I'm okay.
