TEST DRIVE MEME

If you'd like to apply to Snowblind and would like to test the waters first or get a sample set up for your application, this meme is for you! We've even provided some prompts for you to use if you want (but feel free to make up your own). Here's how it works.
✭ Reply to this entry with a character you're considering apping into the game. You can include the name of your character and the fandom in your subject line.
✭ Comment around to others on the meme, whether you're in the game already or not.
✭ Now you have a sample ready for your application!
✭ So go reserve and apply when reservations and applications are open.
✭ Seriously, do it.

Network Prompts
ONE: IT WON'T BE LONG NOW...
Well, you made a mistake. You spent too long searching around, or you ran outside near the end of the day for just one more thing, and now you've been locked out. You can search around all you want, but the best shelter you can hope for is pressing against the side of a sealed up building. You do still have your tablet, though. Maybe someone on the network can give you some advice, or at least some comfort while you wait for hypothermia to set in.

TWO: CABIN FEVER
Maybe you didn't want that mistake of getting caught outside to happen again, but now you've ended up staying too long in one location, and cabin fever has set in. Maybe you're taking to the network to try and ignore the hallucinations. Maybe you want to tell everyone that you've figured out they're all in on your kidnapping. Maybe you ended up wandering off and now you'd really like to know if anyone can check back in the place you were at for your pants.

Action Prompts
THREE: AN UNEXPECTED MEETING
You're going about your business searching what seems like it might be an especially promising house--it's fully intact and there's even a working fireplace with some wood! It looks like someone else has the same idea, though, and you've run into them in the middle of your search. Do you share the potential wealth or try to kick them out? On the other hand, maybe you know who this is, or maybe you're just glad to actually see another person for the first time in ages.

FOUR: GOOD MORGUE-NING
You've just woken up in a morgue after dying in one unfortunate way or another. You have no idea where you are beyond that, but your tablet is insisting you can't stay here, so you should probably get out of here pretty quickly. Of course, bringing people back from the dead isn't a perfect science, so you're missing something important to you. Maybe you've lost your voice, maybe you can't remember where you're from, maybe you can't remember where you are right now. It looks like someone else is nearby, though. Maybe they can help you out?

Dr. Franken Stein | Soul Eater

Three (inverted)

[Now, there might be logs, and mid-sized sticks, and kindling, and even tinder, but without an ignition source, the wood collected so nicely in the fireplace for a lost wanderer is completely useless. Stein is under no illusions about the likelihood of actually finding matches or a lighter in this house, and it's been at least a decade since he's had to resort to rubbing sticks together (the perks of being a smoker).

So far, nothing, and rubbing two sticks together is looking more and more likely. Stein's down on the ground looking underneath a couch when he hears the front door of the house creak open, and the footsteps of someone coming in. They're not going to be a threat, and they might have matches, so he gets up from the floor, coming up to a kneeling position to poke his head over the top of the couch and see just who came in.

Even kneeling, Stein is still obviously impressively tall, and impressively weird. Scar across his face, turtleneck sweater made from several other sweaters stitched together, grey hair poking out from under something like a winter hat made of scraps of fabric, and a chipper smile.
]

Yo! Got a match?

[What he'll see is a bipedal fox standing roughly at five feet tall. She's wearing heavy workboots that extend up past her hocks, and have a set of trousers stuck into them. Her shirt's heavy-duty cotton and she has one of the standard-issue coats of this place on over that along with a pair of heavy work gloves. She's looking around nervously and starts when he calls out. Then her eyes widen.]

N-no, sir. But... Fates and seasons you're a funny looking mole!

[At least she's... assuming he's a mole. Maybe? Some... variety of mole?]
circumsutus: (so bishi)

totally not late

[Human-sized, bipedal foxes aren't something that should exist. But Stein's been dealing with lots of things that shouldn't exist, and she's not the oddest thing he's seen today.

He stands entirely, brushing dirt off his knees. Stein is certainly not a mole, probably closer to a badger in height, really, easily a foot and a half taller than the vixen.
]

I don't think I've ever been called a mole before.

[The only sensible response to a scarred face, even a familiar one, popping up out of nowhere in what should have been an empty house is clearly to let out a piercing shriek of terror. So that's what Crona does.

Said shriek of terror is accompanied by some jelly-like quivering and an immediate crumpling back against the door, arms crossing defensively to protect the most vulnerable areas.

Unfortunately no reply is forthcoming yet. How can Crona be expected to deal with matches when people from the DWMA appear out of thin air?]
circumsutus: (huh that's weird)

sorry for the late!

[personal profile] circumsutus 2015-10-23 12:16 am (UTC)(link)
[Really, Crona? If Stein were a threat, you would be dead by now with all that screaming and flopping. Luckily, he's not currently deciding to be a threat for the young meister, and instead walks over to stand in front of Crona, with a sigh.]

If you keep making noise like that, you'll attract terrible things.

[What "terrible things" could be is left deliberately vague. He's sure Crona can fill in any gaps as necessary.]
madnessrising: (shy)

Don't worry about it!

[personal profile] madnessrising 2015-10-24 08:15 pm (UTC)(link)
[Long fingers immediately come up to fist into Crona's hair as terrible images of monsters and demons (and Medusa) filter in.]

I didn't know you were here.

[Just... brushing past the screaming now. Also, whether that's a good thing or a bad thing is not clear by Crona's tone of voice.]

I didn't know anyone that I knew was here, I thought I was all alone.
circumsutus: (hmmmmm)

[Here, he has a choice. Help Crona, or let them continue on as they are.

(except, really, there isn't any choice at all, because like usual he's going to go with his first instinct)

A shrug, expression not very easily read behind the glare of his glasses, hands down at his sides.
]

Isn't your weapon here with you?
