*He's a bit confused here. She looks....kind of like someone he knows but much smaller. And the ears he usually IDs her by are not in their right place. In fact they kind of look like they're on another creature entirely? He's...not really sure. He's not sure what to make of any of this.

So he's just going to stare. He's not too close but he's not that far either, so definitely noticeable.*
