Alfie is hilarious to pick at. Why so serious, boss? House is still forming an opinion of the guy, but he definitely thinks Alfie is intelligent - he'll call it paranoia to Alfie's face, but keeping most of his convos private is smarter than the average bear. It's especially so for someone from the past who figured out the filters system so quickly. While he might not act it, House does have some level of mild respect for the guy. That intelligence does mean that House is ever so slightly wary of the man. Not so much in being afraid of him physically (although, House doesn't really want to run into him), but being concerned that Alfie is good at reading people. House does like to be aggravating with the mostly text thing, but part of the reason he sticks to that is that it's just easier to hide any sort of reaction or emotion that gives things away.
Mostly he'd like to just keep watching and messing with Alfie as he can, maybe engaging him in actually constructive dialogue now and again. As you do.
