[Hell's Kitchen is pretty much the world as most know it; a 21st century New York borough, plagued with crime and gentrification. It's intensely dark at night, and bright and colorful in the daylight, churches for all kinds of faiths dotting the streets, in between hole-in-the-wall restaurants and low red brick apartment buildings. It's a little dilapidated but there's a homey feel to the neighborhood anyway. In the distance, Manhattan looks immense.
