[ steve has... a vague outline of a plan. he hasn't quite fleshed it out yet. mostly so far it's going well, since no one's reported anyone missing, but if/when it comes up that someone's stuck out there... that's when the plan gets a little hazy. mostly it's just "don't let anyone freeze to death or get eaten by shadow monsters", which is simplistic as far as plans go, maybe, but it's straightforward, and that should recommend it some. ]
