[ normally kit wouldn't resort to sending an audio message in the middle of the night like this but he's been awake for hours now, listening to the skittering and scratching that seems to be coming from all around him.
his heart is pounding so hard he thinks it might burst by the time he finally decides to reach for his tablet. maybe this is just a thing here, maybe it's normal. maybe he's silly for being so afraid.
or maybe it's not, and he's not. ]
Look, I don't wanna sound crazy or anything but I swear I hear things crawling around. I can't tell if they're inside or not, could be in the walls maybe.
Anyone else have the same problem, or am I just lucky?
it was only just a dream

This is kind of a weird question but I figure what better place for weird questions than a weird place like this, right?
Is it normal to have dreams that feel real? I mean dreams so real you almost have to wonder if they were dreams at all.
it sleeps beneath the snow
[ kit and his super lucky companion have been traveling all day in search of new shelter. unfortunately they'd set out on a path devoid of much of anything and by the time the sun starts to dip lower and lower in the sky, kit's worried.
however, it seems they're in luck! the speck on the horizon they've been trudging towards turns out to be a cabin and if they hurry they'll make it in time.
….however, again, shortly after it turns out they're actually not really in luck at all, because that sure is one hell of a terrifying monster blocking their path. kit freezes (hurhur) in his tracks, eyes wide. ]
Holy shit!
[ that's his contribution. here's hoping his fellow traveler is a quick thinker. ]
