She steps up to the porch, her worn ballet slippers almost worst for wear at this point as she pads into the room. But she inhales sharply, seeing a figure in the room already.
Pearl falters, having no weapon of her own. Her gem powers couldn't be activated here. She had no ways to defend herself. Sans her own fists of course. But once she sees his hands fly upward in a non threatening gesture, she relaxes.
