Character name and canon: Flynn Carsen | The Librarian
About them:
In his world, Flynn is basically Indiana Jones for magical artifacts. He's called the Librarian (focus on the the) and never tires to introduce himself as that. The Library is a gigantic mystical structure in its own pocket dimension where they store the artifacts to keep them safe from bad people.
Flynn is academically brilliant, socially awkward and perpetually agitated. Favorite form of communication: bad one-liners, self-deprecating humor and banter. He is generally friendly and seems super approachable at first but can actually be petty as fuck. He starts liking people very easily but then has no clue how to go on dealing with that. It makes him erratic and unreliable, alternating between moments of being a genuinely caring, loving friend who openly expresses his emotions and sudden regressions into some kind of wannabe-loner who makes lots of stupid decisions. He's lost people in the past and now tries the "I need to be ALONE™" routine which he is spectacularly bad at.
His best friend at home is also a flying sword, that's how great his people skills are.
He's very early canon so he's still adorbs nerd for the biggest part. As canon progresses, he becomes a lot more capable but also eccentric (think Doctor-like), dismissive and really unpleasant at times. That might progress as he spends more time in Norfinbury, so I'm definitely looking forward to playing out the changes. :3
Current plans: He's still learning the ropes, basically, but also trying to figure out what's going on and explore. Flynn loves puzzles and can get completely fixated, bordering on reckless, with them. Currently, he's headed towards the main residential area though, because he is an idiot and running out of food; he spent too much time at the museum nerding away. Barely scrapes by this time but will probably starve at some point.
Desired CR: I would love for him to join a group and/or make friends and then be stupid about it! I would also love for him to get into fights somehow (he doesn't like fighting at all but he's actually half decent at it. for a regular human.)
... tbh I just want to do all the things. You people are fantastic and so is this game, I love everyone in this snowslope. <3
