The woman's eyebrows shot up. Her back tensed, but when she spoke, her voice was calm. "You were the other body."
She immediately realized that that probably wasn't a very reassuring thing to say to someone fresh in an unknown place, so she hastened to add, "You're in Norfinbury. I'm afraid I can't tell you much more about the place. I only arrived... well, I don't know how long ago I arrived, because I was locked out of all the buildings when night fell and succumbed to hypothermia. I should have died, but I woke up in the morgue instead. I don't know how long I was in there."
It was a shock, waking up and not being able to see. She was still suppressing the fear that was threatening to close up her throat. In the morgue, had to grope around, try to figure out where she was, and she had accidentally touched another body. It had been cold and she thought it was dead. Apparently not.
