*Of course the Operator was here. He's not sure why Tim feels the need to point that out, though. He's become so used to the Operator just being there when it wants (needs?) to that he hadn't even considered the possibility that wasn't here.
This being its world, though, he's not sure about that. It didn't feel quite the same. But if it was where it took the dead that could explain why Jay was here. Did that mean Alex was dead too? That'd at least be some small consolation. So then Tim was also dead? That was too bad. Tim didn't really deserve to die even after everything that he'd been through. He is pretty sure he's not dead, though. He doesn't feel dead and even with the holes in his memory he assumes death is one of those things you wouldn't be able to forget. Either Tim is trying to trick him, which seems out of character for the man, or his theory was wrong. It was probably that last one.
