Kori was having an interesting time with clothes. It was very difficult to find anything that fit, and nothing in her life prepared her for making sewing alterations. She had only just found some long fabric, and was finally able to attempt tying a skirt around her waist. To her profound dismay, she couldn't get it to hang any lower than her knees. She was still stuck in the men's pants she had been fortunate enough to find on her first day. She was beginning to fear she would die of exposure, having arrived in clothes not in the least suited to this weather in her newly vulnerable body.
Leaving the 'skirt' tied over her pants, she finally discovered the fireplace and yelped with delight. She was starting a fire when the door opened.
"Oh, hello!" Her attention didn't stray from the task at hand - a tiny flame, beginning to catch.
"Forgive me, I was just preparing a lovely fire." She stood to smile at the stranger, relieved to find it wasn't a monster. She would have been polite either way.
"It should be large enough to provide warmth soon. In the mean time, would you like to share body heat?"
