Hello, Listeners.

[A voice issues out through the tablet, a soothing sort of voice.]

The sun has set once more on our fair town and we screech internally with the fear that we will never see it again, and that the rest of our lives will have to be lived in eternal darkness. We hope that the sun will rise again tomorrow, and the next day, and the next, but we cannot know that it will for certain.

All we can know, is that it is gone now.

[His voice perks up, shifting into a lilting excitement with all the grace of a leaping gazelle.]

Something exciting is happening tonight, Listeners! I am experiencing something new, which is not a practise I usually hold with as experience, as we all know, is the precursor to learning and I am sure that I don't have to tell you how dangerous that can be.

[He chuckles.]

But this experience is a good experience, it is an allowed experience, it is even an encouraged experience. The leaders of this town make sure that it is strongly encouraged through the use of locked doors and impenetrable walls. I do not think that I have ever died and been reborn before. I hope that I am reborn, I hope that I will be here on another evening at another time to talk to you all over this poor substitute for a radio.

[He hesitates. His voice drops in volume and energy.]

Stay tuned next for the sound of the human body going into shock, the slow and declining breathing of a dying man, and finally the stillness of a death that awaits us all.

Goodnight, Norfinbury. Goodnight.
