It isn't my fault you made me get good at this sort of thing. Just like it isn't my fault that this really does explain a lot of your abandonment-slash-betrayal issues. And the way you get clingy with people you love. And your complete and utter lack of knowledge about how functional parents are supposed to act.

Yeah, wow. I got abandoned as a kid, so I'm a little touchy about getting betrayed as an adult. Doesn't take a genius to get that.
