TEST DRIVE MEME

If you'd like to apply to Snowblind and would like to test the waters first or get a sample set up for your application, this meme is for you! We've even provided some prompts for you to use if you want (but feel free to make up your own). Here's how it works.
✭ Reply to this entry with a character you're considering apping into the game. You can include the name of your character and the fandom in your subject line.
✭ Comment around to others on the meme, whether you're in the game already or not.
✭ Now you have a sample ready for your application!
✭ So go reserve and apply when reservations and applications are open.
✭ Seriously, do it.

Network Prompts
ONE: LIKE A MOTH TO A FLAME
Something about the light of the tablet just seems so alluring. You feel compelled to it, checking the network every free moment, and getting agitated when you can't; you need to talk to people, you need to talk to them now, and hopefully they'll actually respond. Maybe others are having similar attachment problems...

Only one way to find out.

TWO: CAN WE GET ANOTHER LIFELINE OR TWO?
So that's it. You're stuck. Maybe there's some kind of a coded message you simply can't decipher. Maybe it's as simple as something's blocking your way and you've got a few tools scattered around, but you can't figure out how to use them to solve whatever puzzle is keeping you from progressing. Or maybe it's something else entirely. Either way, you have no idea how to get around it.

Luckily for you, there's a whole network full of helpful - or maybe unhelpful - souls. Perhaps it's time to ask for some assistance? Someone else is bound to have some kind of insight.

Action Prompts
THREE: SWING BATTER BATTER SWING BATTER BATTER SWING
The toy store is nice and cozy, even though sometimes it feels like the dolls are watching you. So you've stayed here for just a little too long, and you're starting to notice... things. But that's just your imagination, right? They can't actually be watching you. They can't actually be moving, either. That door opening? Those footsteps? Maybe they're just a figment of your imagination.

...or maybe they're not. Maybe you should take a baseball bat to whoever that is and find out.

FOUR: A FATAL FUGUE
Sunset is fast approaching. You can see some buildings up ahead - if you hurry, you'll make it indoors just in time. But wait! Do you hear someone calling for help and feel compelled to investigate? Do you feel a debilitating headache coming on? Or do you suddenly get a really, really bad feeling about actually walking through those doors?

If you don't snap out of it, it could be deadly. Luckily, there's someone already in that house that might be able to drag you to safety, with or without your approval.

Well, I promise you I will be on the lookout and if I find any, I will most definitely share. Nothing better than sharing a good cuppa with someone who appreciates it, right?

[They may be strangers, but Peggy's used to this kind of offerings in the Army. It's just easy for her to say the words, and to mean them, too. She wouldn't want to become one of these people who hoard their things jealously. She doesn't want to live her life this way, even here.]

[Such a sweet woman. England's proud to call her his own already.]

Indeed. And I promise you the same— been too long since I've shared tea with good company. [Of course, a nation would give anything to make sure their people are safe and happy, so he'd gladly give over all of the tea he found if she wanted it, no need for sharing.]

My colleague and I are currently on our way to the downtown area, so perhaps we'll have some luck at the supermarket.

Oh, I believe I will be on my way there too, soon! I am meeting up with a friend, first. He's American, but he's quite all right. [Peggy laughs, flushing a little as she imagines Steve's face if he heard he say that.]

Maybe we'll be able to meet in person soon! I have been here for a few days now, but haven't seen anyone. It's been...an interesting experience. Lonely.

[He's American. How appropriate. England can't help but laugh a little, himself.] Imagine that. Mine is American, as well. [Extremely American. The most American that it is possible to be.] Though yours might be more tolerable.

[At least, if she's saying he's all right. That's more than England would say about his American companion most of the time.

Still, though England gives him a hard time, at least it's been a much less lonely experience having him around. His voice softens.]
I'm looking forward to meeting you and your friend. It's— [And here he stumbles a tad, because it's much more honest than he's used to being, but he presses on for her sake.] It's good to have company here, sometimes.

[Peggy chuckles, delighted.] I'm sure he's not as bad as you're making him out to be. But Steve is extremely tolerable, that is true. More Americans should follow his example.

[She does hope she doesn't sound too besotted, saying the words, but she can't help herself. She is very taken with Steve.]

Let's try to keep tabs on each other. Oh! That makes me think, I don't even know your name! I'm Peggy.

[Extremely tolerable. Interesting. England can't help but wonder who she's talking about, but he supposes he'll find out soon, if they really are to meet...

Right now, though, he's more nervous about giving his name than anything else. He hates this part. Not everyone takes the idea of nations very well, and he's even more worried about it now that he has no innate connection, no magical sense of home between the two of them to rely on. Suddenly, he regrets deciding to reveal his identity to the network. But at the time, he hadn't really had anything left to lose.

After a noticeable moment's pause, England answers with some trepidation.]
...my name is England. It's an honour to meet you, Peggy.
