Character name and canon: Beckett | World of Darkness

About them: Vampire archaeologist seeker of hidden vampire origin truths, dropped in Norfinbury right out of his world's own apocalypse which he has survived against any and all reason he can think of. Still pretty much convinced in his heart that this is the post-apocalypse thereof. Snarky ass, prickly, proud, contrary, defensive of his self-reliance, but actually pretty Wise and understanding sometimes, mostly with people with issues that resonate with him (hi Angel hi Brian). Not actually tsundere but maybe a little? Is in fact working through a profound existential crisis as we speak. Badly. He's not coping at all you guys.

Current plans: Post vicodingate, Beckett wants nothing but peace, quiet, and maybe a nice graveyard to dig in. He's heading to explore the eastern park and will also start sniffing around the church. His main interest in plot is in the nature of NIMA, on which he has an increasingly solid theory. Sometimes around the end of the month he's scheduled to, um, die, and there'll be longer-term fallout from that. JUST SO YOU KNOW.

Desired CR: God he needs positive CR. I mean I will take all the CR, he's still great for snarking at people and will continue to, if not actively sabotage then at least Make His Opinion Known about any attempts for Snowhell law and order. He's also good apparently for enabling people into reckless behaviour in the course of adventuring? He'll talk your characters into doing the worst shit with him if you want him to? And he is also capable of dispensing Actual Useful Life Advice if you manage to get him in the mood. But mostly he really needs someone to find the right way to, not so much be nice to him as to put him at anything resembling ease. Get his soft side out. Not the one that leads him to beat up people who blackmail his Hyperpups. The real soft one. That he totally has. I mean.

Not looking for: At this point I'm open to anything!

I definitely need to throw the elf at him more. He'll be positive to complicatedly positive CR!

Haurchefant and his desire to see peace in Snowhell but Haurche also has the lingering belief that he's here because he's patron deity is angry at him for something. Beckett is actually one of only two people (not counting Emmanellain) who know Haurchefant is dead. IDK if that could lead to something but it's there.

That is to say YES PLEASE I am super interested in doing more with them and this particular aspect, especially now that so much shit has gone down for both of them. I've heard it rumoured that the elf bros are now travelling with Zell's group? Involved in the bleeding pianos discovery? RELEVANT TO HIS INTERESTS I'm just saying.
