[After Zack takes the curtain rod, Sora can't do much else but sink backwards for the moment. His body is a trembling mess and his stomach feels like it's been flipped upside down at this point. He can't tear his eyes away from the door with each rattle it gives and while he does see the shadow start to retreat, there's a lingering fear that keeps a firm grip on him.
What were they going to do? They were trapped. Were they even going to be able to rest at all? Or were they going to have to be on guard all night?
He snaps out of his onslaught of thoughts when Zack starts to speak, focusing on the older man with a look that's...for the first time since meeting the other, he probably looks the roll of the scared kid.
But he does get the hint and with a shaky nod he's forcing himself up, stumbling away from the door to start blocking the windows. He can't let himself stop; he can't let himself crumble. He has to make sure they're safe--he has to make sure that Zack is safe because that's what he does.
