[It takes everything Peggy is made of not to flip him the bird. She is a lady, she doesn't do these things, but she wants to curse him out so badly it's making her red in the face.]

Well, I'm sorry I did, and I wouldn't have if I'd known it'd turn into such a - a Neanderthal.

[Frustrated, tired and not just a little sad, Peggy moves over to one of the windows, trying to distinguish anything in the darkness outside. She hugs her sides, missing Steve's warmth, his willingness to keep her close, how good it felt to have his solid frame to lean against.]

I wish you could see just how unfair you're being. To him.

[She says the words in a small voice, more to herself than to James, even though she knows he can hear her. He's being unfair to her, too, but it isn't the point she's trying to make. She hates just how badly Steve is hurting, thinking he's let James down.]
