Okay, so, Nathan is absolutely Tifa's friend. She finds him really funny and charismatic, but then of course half the time he also drives her a little nuts. She doesn't take his douchey comments personally or seriously anymore, though, and now that she knows he's just the type to run his mouth without thinking, she's more accepting of them. That doesn't mean she won't call him out when he goes too far, but she doesn't really get angry about it anymore.
He's still completely capable of embarrassing her, though, because sometimes he opens his mouth and terrible things come out and she just can't even process the creativity of his grossness? Despite that, she does enjoy being around him and talking to him. She likes their stupid jokes, and their arguing over romance novels, and how silly he can be. It cheers her up. She does feel like she needs to keep him from putting his foot in his mouth in public sometimes, though, and she doesn't approve of him fucking with the new arrivals, but hey! They're friends, he's locked in, it's terrible and she'd totally throw herself in front of a monster for him, IT'S COOL.
