Ecks isn't quite sure what to make of Watson! She likes him as well because once again here's someone who answers questions -- what's more, he actively volunteers information, like how to read people. On the other hand, she just...doesn't know what his angle is? Like what is up with a doctor who just goes around helping people without asking things in return? She's also aware been aware from early on that he's seen combat; even before it came up in conversation she would have picked up on it from nonverbal cues. She figures that the fact that he's a doctor and a soldier but not nasty on the surface must mean that he's hiding something now that she's back to being warier of everyone, but she can't work out what and is not particularly on edge about whatever it is coming out anytime soon.
