Post top levels of your characters as they were when they were younger - it's up to you whether that means "when they were a kid", "six months ago", or something in between. Then tag around, either throwing kids together or throwing normally-aged current CR at people in order to "????" about how their friend/enemy/casual acquaintance is suddenly bitty.

[She's still standing there when he opens the cabinet, staring at its door and going back over the conundrum in her mind. She takes a step back when it swings open. Wrong? Person. This time she knows the correct response.]

Subject four-thirty-seven.

[bittytsun]

That's not a name. [ Royce says suspiciously. ] What are you?

[ecks]

[What does that even mean, though?? She takes her best guess at the answer.]

Tall.

[bittytsun]

[ ... Well, okay, that actually is an answer, so Royce shrugs and takes it as face value. He crawls out from the cabinet, still crouched on the floor. ]

What are you doing? [ Twenty questions with Royce Melborn. ]

[ecks]

Looking.

[One word responses with Subject 437. There was also touching, but she doesn't want to say so even if she thinks it must be okay to touch things she hasn't been told not to touch. Still, she folds her hands neatly in front of her in the showing-she-is-not-touching-things gesture.]

[ He's very content to have one word conversations. ]

At what? Everything?

[ecks]

Everything here.

Did not leave.

[It's not where she's supposed to be, she thinks, but she knows she's supposed to stay where she's put.]

[bittytsun]

Are you not supposed to leave? [ He closes the cabinet so he can lean against it, watching her curiously. ]

[ecks]

Not supposed to leave. Did not leave.

[She lacks much of the caution she'll learn later. Though she put a little distance between them to start, she doesn't think to move any further away, nor to look to see whether he is carrying a weapon.]

Why can't you leave? [ He doesn't have a weapon! Yet. He's mostly been looking for food and warmth. He's in rags, so he's shivering like crazy, though he seems to be used to it. ]

[ecks]

[She's still shivering as well, but she doesn't know what to do about it and so she does nothing. She has to think about the question, too -- he's asking such strange things. It's kind of exciting.]

He said.

[Growing bold, she decides to ask a question of her own. Just one, though, gesturing to the cabinet.]

Yours?

[bittytsun]

[ He kind of likes this. It's fun, in a weird way. ]

No. But I took it anyway. [ Almost defensively. ] Who is he?

[ecks]

[Whut. She looks back and forth between him and the cabinet, deeply troubled by this revelation. Not his, took it anyway. That's simply not possible!]

Cannot.
