Network Prompts ONE: @XX_BLAZEIT69 You’ve just downloaded a brand new application that you found in a building to your tablet. It turns out it’s some sort of username assignment program. Using it allows you to select current active usernames and rename them into new ones that only you can change. But with great power comes great responsibility—will you use this new program to give people usernames they’d like in place of an unfortunate one they gave themselves before they realized it couldn’t be changed…or will you give them something you think is more fitting for them, flattering or otherwise? TWO: CONTENT WARNING It’s around the time that new arrivals should be appearing on the network, but you’re noticing a bit of a bigger influx than normal. When you click on one of the posts by one of them, you’re redirected to a flood of disturbing text and images that disappears completely once you manage to exit out—as if it had never been there in the first place. Maybe you should warn the others to be careful of what they click on. Or maybe you can discuss it with those who have already made the same mistake as you did. Perhaps you can set up a code system to differentiate the fake posts from the real ones. Action Prompts THREE: WALKING IN CIRCLES You’ve been walking all day, tirelessly, but somehow, even though you’re sure you’ve been walking in a straight line you keep passing the same landmarks and coming back to the same house you started from. You’re not sure if it’s your imagination or if you’re actually getting turned around, but you’re determined not to stop until you’ve found a new place to sleep in. Unfortunately, the longer you try, the closer you get to lockdown. Maybe the one you’re traveling with will be able to help you get your bearings before you both freeze to death? FOUR: TOPSY TURVY It's past lockdown, and it should be a quiet and peaceful night - as quiet and peaceful as any night can get in Norfinbury, anyway. And you've even managed to find somebody to bunker down with! But about an hour or so into the lockdown, things start to seem just a little... off. Furniture you could swear was on one side of the room suddenly appears on the other. You might hear footsteps from up above you - even if there's no second floor. Or you might hear whispers, snatches of conversation just quiet enough to be unintelligible. Is your buddy messing with you? Or is this all just in your head?

That needs to be your top priority. [ Royce tells him, stopping in the middle of the snow. They're... back at this house again. Again. He's been trying to avoid it because he hates this one in particular, but it looks like Norfinbury hates him.

Royce makes an irritated sound before answering. ] You die.

Looks like this is house we're staying in. [ Bead house, Royce's immortal enemy. ]

Right. I'll put it at the top of the list. Item one: don't die. Item two: new clothes. Item three: maybe food? God, what I wouldn't do for a nice hot meal right now. Heh, never thought I'd miss nettle soup.

[ He follows Royce to the house glad to be almost at the end of their long, long walk. ]

If you could have one food from home, what would it be?

[ The house is a normal house, only all of the doors are replaced with hanging curtain beads. Royce looks visibly annoyed by this fact, to the point that he almost doesn't answer Sam.

First, he's going to remove his boots and wet clothing, seemingly not concerned by Sam's presence. ] Hot food doesn't exist here. I don't think about food from home because there's no point. Just makes me hungrier.

[ Royce, be nice. As he's talking, the front door clicks and locks itself. Lockdown. ]

[ Sam jumps at the sudden click behind him, but then clears his throat and plays it cool as if nothing had happened. ]
No way. You're going to be hungry either way, you might as well remember the good stuff. For me, I would love, love, love a nice big juicy cheeseburger with a giant side of chips just loaded with cheese. Fake cheese, real cheese, I wouldn't even care. Normally I would but not now. Seems almost silly, all things considered.

[ What is a cheeseburger. ]

I don't know what a cheeseburger is. Chips, though. Like the ones from the convenience store? [ He hangs up his cloak, pulling out his blanket and a pair of pajama pants from his bag, pausing to glance at Sam. ]

Wot-Oh! Oh, no, not American chips. Er. Fries? Deep fried potato logs. Comes with a happy meal? And I don't believe that you don't know what a cheeseburger is. Everyone knows what a cheeseburger is.

You take a cow, get the best bits of it, ground it up and smoosh it into a patty. [ He smooshes an invisible patty between his hands. ] Then all you do is toss it on the grill add a bit of cheese and some bread and bam! Cheeseburger!
