No worries! Kesara is always delighted when older kids, and especially boys, seem to look up to and appreciate her, so she'd be very happy to consider herself a role model for Kid, even if she might be a bit insufferable about it... and intensely weirded out if the whole Death God thing comes out.

In terms of getting them to talk... I think we actually got handed a really good opportunity, if you don't mind playing with that, with the thread where Watson diagnoses Kid's OCD. Kesara is really interested in mental illness as a concept because of her own background (dyslexic kid in the 1840s) so seeing that Kid might in theory have a problem like her own could be a good reason for her to message him and ask him about it? Of course this is always a bit of a touchy subject in RP so want to make sure you're comfortable with that!

I'm surprised at how involved that thread got! But yes. Kid could do with a little conversation about mental illness. That being said, he won't necessarily be a good influence for her in the sense that he sees himself and his obsession as Bad. In essence, he does what far too many people do...his attitude towards himself is very similar to Alfie's "suck it up"/"figure it out" mentality, whereas his attitude towards others is far kinder.

This is, of course, when he accepts that there is something wrong at all.

Basically yes times a million. I would love this interaction.

Aaand If I recall the Death God thing started to. We could handwave and say Kid found a way to change the subject. It could come up with the topic of his OCD...it is made clear in the manga that a part of his behavior stems from actually being a reaper. He might understand that very vaguely, even now.

Sorry for the word vomit reply. I'm a wee bit tired but I'm so excited for Kesara cr
