I'm a big believer in freedom of information.

I approve of it. She needs women role models.

Everyone does, if you ask me. Though the hero worship does kind of... put the pressure on.

Does she hero-worship you, really?

[spoileralert]

Worship is probably a strong word, but she seems to think I'm a hero from a romantic ballad, or a myth, or something. Which, I mean, yeah, that's kind of the life I chose, but I'm just learning.

Do you get harassed about Zach?

Nah. Actually, I think she's... worried I'm going to make him do something dangerous, like slay the gorgon to prove he's worthy of me. She seems alarmingly okay with the idea.

I pity the man who tries to court her, when she gets to that age.

I know, right? She still thinks most women just flat out aren't capable, but she's gonna grow out of that something serious.

Yeah, she'll be an explorer, after all. She's gonna expect a man to keep up with her, and not many will be up to the task.

She'll learn the fun way just how much women are capable of.

Women do everything men do where you're from, then?

Everything. They're finally allowed to actually fight in wars, too.

He is, but it's a recent thing. Like, this year.

Were there not enough men who wanted to fight?

There were enough women who wanted to, and enough people who wanted to give them the chance.

Mm. I'm glad it doesn't happen in my day. I was just telling Dr. Watson I'd rather have a daughter because I wouldn't have to worry about losing her in battle.

The US hasn't had a draft in ages, though, so there's that.

But if I had a son, I'd hope to raise him to want to volunteer to fight for his country. Doesn't mean I wouldn't worry though, yeah?
