[London of the early 20th century is a smoggy, rainy mess, but it's home. Alfie lives in Camden Town, the Jewish quarter, where he has a big warehouse down by the docks so that he can easily move large quantities of goods. Come take a stroll around a bustling industrial city at the turn of the century! You probably won't get caught in a gang fight.

I also have headcanon future family for him because I am trash, so if any of his in-game friends want to meet a tiny gangster child that he will be wildly protective over, let me know and I will do the thing.]

*Brian's world is almost identical to ours, at least at first glance. He frequents the wooded areas and abandoned buildings within a park. Others nearby may notice the strangely tall man wearing what appears to be a black suit in the distance.*

1 - Pandora

[ Congratulations! You've made it to Pandora - more accurately, the remains of the Hyperion Wildlife Exploitation Preserve. With Handsome Jack dead and eridium experimentation at an all-time low, it's partially abandoned. And wholly a freaking shitheap.

It's a good place to check out Pandora's wide variety of fauna, though, which is why Angel thought it'd be neat to come here. She's looking a little unsure about that now, though, and keeps looking back and forth between the entrance and some vending machines with a particularly shifty look on her face. ]

I... don't suppose you have any cash on you?

[ Preferably space dollars??? ]

2 - Elpis

[ Pandora sucks. Which is why Angel and INSERT COMPANION HERE have taken a shuttle to Elpis, Pandora's moon. And where better to decide where to explore than by checking out the tourist brochures available in Concordia? Just look at the variety. Amazing. Angel sure doesn't seem to know where to begin, at any rate. ]

I haven't seen any of this stuff, even from my satellites! Do you think the world's largest bullet covers Elpis and Pandora? It has to, right? This is so exciting!!

3 - Control Core Angel

[ Oh dear. Looks like Angel and company have been booted straight to the exact same spot on Pandora that she was initially snatched away from. That being the site of her captivity and death. Awesome.

There's no shield dome dominating the bunker now, though, and most of the machinery is broken. Spent bullet casings, broken glass and piles of scrap that were once robots are littered throughout the dimly-lit room - it's clearly been abandoned ever since the fight that obviously went down here.

Angel is very, very quiet for a few seconds. And then -- ]

I thought... I mean... I remember it being bigger than this.

I've got a few shillings.

[Alfie no.

He's walking closer to examine the vending machine now, because it's pretty damn cool - but he notices that look on Angel's face.]

What's wrong?

[ Ah, yes. Regular old Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, New York, Earth, that's what this place is. You know, until you see all the posters and advertisements and toy fronts screaming about the Avengers - or various other superheroes. An apartment, actually, is where you'll be spat out into. An apartment roof, to be incredibly exact. And if you know where you're going, you'll find yourself at Clint's door, Apartment H, which he leaves open for visitors just like you. It's actually kind of a nice place. Clean, mostly, except for maybe cereal bowls or pizza boxes sitting out, a stray sock or two.

Clint might be out on Avenger's business (which means you're welcome to ransack his stuff), or he might be passed out on the couch. He might also actually be on the roof itself, with the rest of the building's inhabitants, gathered together around a grill. Either way, he's probably going to be happy and unsurprised to see just about anybody who walks through that door. ]

What? Nothing! Nothing's wrong. Unless you heard something. Did you?

[ Yeah, she's jumpy as heckie. And approaching the vending machine too, because guns. GUNS. ]

If you do hear anything, yell. Because Jack kept stalkers in there, and they can turn kinda invisible, and Iunno how well the security has held up in his absence. It's probably fine. Probably. But we should buy - we should procure a gun. Some guns. How - er, how do you feel about getting them for free, but potentially pissing off one of the biggest arms dealers on the planet in the process?

[ WELCOME TO PANDORA INTENSIFIES ]

[Welcome to the closest thing Church has to a home. It's a shitty little box canyon with no real landmarks aside from two bases, one at each end. Both of them have clearly seen very little use in a long time - the one with red flags is in particularly bad disrepair.

Church doesn't seem to care about that one, though, and headed straight for the blue base. Even though it's in bad shape, it does seem to have an occupant.

She and Church are currently having a heated argument over the state of the base. The details might be a little hard to make out because there is a lot of yelling and a lot of profanity involved.]

I'm the one who'll be going back to my own world in a few hours, scott free. How do you feel about it?

[He reaches into his pocket and pulls out his puny twentieth-century pistol. This is fine.]

No. Didn't think I was gonna need it.

[i mean don't you generally just find guns lying around in strategic points all over the map why would you need a vending machine]

[ WOW. AWKS. Angel heads inside the base and hovers (not literally, even though she SO COULD NOW) around the entrance, trying her best to look like she isn't listening to the yelling.

Geez. Okay, she's sheltered, but she's pretty sure she's never heard half of those words before. And she's pretty sure that several of the things Church and his friend(????) are telling each other to do are illegal on all civilised planets.

She starts backing up, stepping on a discarded glowstick in the process - why is there a glowstick - and holds up her hands guiltily. ]

Um, I'll just - should I wait outside?

[ Elan is a small world, in comparison to Earth. Still, the city you'll find yourself in may be slightly overwhelming. New Percepliquis is beautiful - new, still growing. The door to Royce's world opens right in the middle of the Cenzarium, a tall, grand building dedicated to the Art. The door is in a special room dedicated just to that door, and when someone comes through, a message is sent across the Nidwalden River to a one Royce Melborn, who makes his way there immediately.

While you wait, you're welcome to speak to any of the people in the school, from students to teachers to Arista Essendon or Hadrian Blackwater themselves. They may not know you, but if you're a friend of Royce's, you're a friend of theirs.

Or maybe you'll show up when Royce is there to visit. He doesn't spend a lot of time in the Cenzarium, but it's not uncommon to find him in the guild hall for the Teshlor trainees across the town square from the Cenzarium, hanging out with Hadrian. Who knows? You might even find him at the palace - Empress Modina is pleased to lead you there if you'd like, to where Royce sits on a balcony watching two little girls laugh and play in the courtyard below. ]

[Alfie catches up with Royce on the balcony, having been told by someone or other where he had hidden himself away. He too has a little girl with him - a curly-haired toddler, maybe two or three years old, tucked under one arm. He waits for Royce to turn around and spot him, and then he gives a little bow.]

Your Majesty.

[The teasing grin is only barely suppressed.]

Conflicted, mostly. But I doubt he or his friends would be overly enthused about Handsome Jack's daughter being alive and well whether I steal from them or not, s-- dude what the actual heck is that even. Is that supposed to be a gun?

[ THE DISDAIN FOR THAT GUN. IT IS ALL-CONSUMING. Enough so that it makes her mind up for her, and she places a hand on the vending machine. ]

Executing phase shift. You might wanna grab these fast.

[ "These" being the little avalanche of guns pouring from the vending machine slot. They're mostly Hyperion brand - and therefore bright yellow - but there are a few exceptions in there. A Torgue brand rocket launcher, most notably. For people who like more explosions per explosion!™ ]

NO ME BEING DEAD FOR FIVE YEARS IS NOT A FUCKING EX- what?

[He turns to Angel, remembering she's there for the first time since they got here.]

Oh, right. Sister, this is Angel, she's a friend of mine. Angel, this is Sister, she's on Blue Team.

["You have friends?" asks Sister in an extremely skeptic tone.]

[Wow, Angel. Rude. He gives her a stern look, because he likes his gun, thank you very much, and it kills just fine. But these newfangled ones are fascinating, and so with his pistol still in his hand (he's not going to put it away until he figures out how to fire one of these bigger things), he goes for that rocket launcher.]

I haven't got the slightest idea of how to fire one of these, you realize.

Yeah, uh, same. Or I'd have raided Jack's old bank account already. His password was "usexything69420."

[ She looks critically at Church for a second, assessing his squishiness, then sighs. Probably best not to potentially get him put on any hitlists. Yet. Which means - ]

Okay, start looking through these boxes. Sometimes there's money in them, loo-- oh. Med hypo.

[ TRASH. Time to open more boxes. GOOD THING THERE ARE SO MANY. ALL OVER THE PLACE. POTENTIALLY CARRYING TENS OF DOLLARYDOOS EACH. ]

[O...pening a box? Okay, the ammo in there makes sense, but-]

Why is there money just lying around? And who the fuck uses paper money anymore?

But - um, she's yellow.

[ She's not going to comment on The Friend Thing, tempting though it is. There is so much going on here and is that a bra hanging from the ceiling. ]

I mean - nice to meet you? Should I wait outside? I don't mind.

[Tifa hasn't really gotten used to this whole world-hopping thing, and she hasn't gotten a chance to visit Royce yet. She just got caught up in the whole end of the world thing and then rebuilding the city and... Well, Gaia was a mess for a while. Someone tells Tifa that Royce is on his way, and she finds a sitting area to wait in, looking a little out of her element and just slightly overwhelmed by... all of it.

She looks mostly the same, although her hair is cut shorter and there's a pink ribbon tied to her arm. The biggest difference, really, is that she looks healthier. It's a wonder what good sleep and eating regularly can do for your overall appearance. When Royce finally arrives, she's on her feet in an instant, face lighting up. And if Royce didn't expect her to immediately cross the room and throw her arms around him, he doesn't know her at all.]

Royce!

[ With his hearing restored to what it should be, Royce hears the footsteps almost a mile away. Footsteps that he doesn't recognize, which makes him wary, but - when he turns, and sees Alfie, his expression brightens just slightly, mostly in the eyes.

You know, except for how Alfie ruins it. Royce sighs heavily, but - that voice is so good to hear after everything that has happened, after all this time. So sure, he sighs, but his expression is warmer than it ever was in Norfinbury, pleased to see Alfie. He pushes his hood back and folds his arms across his chest. ]

Maribor above, don't start. I've heard enough from Hadrian. [ A beat. He smiles, now. ] Been a long time, hasn't it, Solomons?

[SIGH]

She's colourblind. And really stupid.

["FUCK YOU! Also, yeah, nice to meet you, but you're gonna need to cough up five bucks if you wanna stay. And it's like eleven hours before the rave even starts."]

Hey! You can't just- STOP HOLDING RAVES IN MY BASE YOU SKANKY BITCH!

[And they start screeching at each other again. Waiting outside might be the best option.]

A very long time.

[Years, in fact, though it doesn't seem that long. It almost feels like he last saw Royce just yesterday.]

You've certainly made a name for yourself. I heard the story from one of your servants.

[ Poor Tifa - it's been a long time since they've been in Norfinbury, so it takes a bit for Royce to remember she's a hugger. She comes right up to him and drags him into a hug, and the people in the room all gasp. They're expecting some sort of bloody retribution, but Royce sort of just stiffens up, and snaps out a quick command in elvish to the tall, stoic guards already making their way over to yank Tifa off him.

There's a pause, and then Royce rests a hand on her arm. A beat, and then, soft, with a smile he hides: ] Hello, Tifa.

[ He missed her! Not that he'll say. ]

Carefully is how. That one is - it's kind of explodey. For taking out the big guys! Or for just making a lot of noise.

[ She gingerly picks up a shotgun - you don't need to be good at aiming to shoot things with those, right? That'll probably be suitable. ]

Test it out before we go in, maybe. Try and hit - Iunno, that old road sign?

[ She points towards the sign in question, located far enough away for it to be safe, then aims her shiny new gun to try it herself. Point and fire, right? Simple.

Until she does so and the recoil sends her sprawling backwards onto her ass. A++++++++ BEST SHOOTING LESSON EVER ]

[Ah, whoops. Tifa pulls back, shoots a sheepish look at the guards who are backing off, and then turns her attention back to Royce with a not-at-all-concealed grin.]

I missed you so much. Do you have guards now?
