listen i'm one of those anti-homestucks

which is to say that back when it was super popular i considered it one of the most annoying things, mostly because a lot of people would play homestuck characters very edgy and 2cool and passive-aggressive for no real reason at all?? sighs deeply

but even so, i really enjoy your davesprite!! i know nothing about him but he is endearingly sassy and your tags are silly and witty without being contrived... also you're such a reliable tagger gosh, like i think almost every thread we've done has been a boomerang of some sort and i'm so glad. rock on rockstar ilu goodbye!!!

I am so pleased you enjoy my Davesprite and that I've been able to give you some fun out of the canon despite your previous impressions. I have never been a fan of Homestuck, it just wasn't for me, and yet you've made me fall in love with a character that's an orange teenage bird. That's some amazing levels of roleplay talent right there. You manage to make him sympathetic, irritating, and hilarious all at the same time and I am so glad every time you tag with me. I love literally all our CR, I love our PSL, I love it all.

And thank you for being a sweetie on plurk, I am glad you joined and glad we're mates.

Nabi thank you for being one of the people who made me feel super excited about apping here, and continuing to put up with Ed's nonsense despite the trainwreck of that thread. I love how much thought and work you've put into Davesprite, and I can't wait to see how his and Ed's CR goes now that I'm in the game.

You've been really kind and fun to talk with on plurk too! Most importantly, thank you for +2ing my kermit the frog emotes, they've been my favorites.

But ahhhh thank you so much! Capturing the different sides of a character is something I try to do, so I'm always, always glad when it comes through right and people see and enjoy it. I'm so pleased.

I've been reading a lot of Davesprite's stuff since he showed up, and I really like him as a character. I'm canonblind, myself, but he's very fully realized. He works so hard at trying to help out and help people out, but he's still clearly a teenager with the ridiculously extreme problems that teenagers have. The 'team' of Dug, Homura, and Davesprite is great.

And I'm glad I actually got to have Sylar poke at him! I'd been expecting him to break down and start pestering him about the bird thing, but it went in a way more fun direction, full of existential nightmares. I'm looking forward to any future stuff between them.

You know just how canonblind I am to HS, but it doesn't change the fact that I love love threading with you and DS! He is such an interesting character, fully fleshed out and feeling very much like a teenager should, with hair-triggers and angst. he is so much fun to play against because you never know what's going to happen and I really, really like that. And you're so creative with his tags! That really amazes me, which is why I stalk quite a number of your threads :').

Anyway you're lovely and so easy to talk to and I'm very glad you're in game with us!!

I love Davesprite so much, I'm glad I could help get you entangled in the madness that is Snowblind! He and Steph make for some great cr, setbacks and all, and it really has been fun going back through the history of the game with you. I will certainly be looking for more opportunities to shove my obnoxious cat at him, too >w>

I have a little more to say that's better said in response to your response to my thread, but Davesprite is engaging to read, and his idiosyncrasies don't feel like hollow mimicry - it FEELS like a living, breathing person behind his text posts. You play him very well and I'm looking forward to having more CR with you!

I don't understand how you're such an unending font of birdboy sass. Not only do you turn out incredible tags with meandering trains of thought that amuse the fuck out of me, but often as not you do it so fast I don't know how you even had time to type the things, let alone think them up. Your Davesprite is more than that, though; he's really endearing in a fucked up teenager way (and that's another thing: successfully conveying teenager-ness).
