Character name and canon: Castiel (Supernatural)

About them: Castiel is an energy being who's existed since before the Cambrian Explosion and has been watching life on Earth and nudging it in various directions at his creator's orders since then - or to put it in more familiar terms, an angel. He's currently inhabiting the body of a suburban dad from Illinois in order to avoid burning anyone's eyes out with the power of his true form, but with only a few years of practice under his belt he's pretty bad at acting like a normal human. Things like jokes and sarcasm tend to fly over his head, and after existing to obey orders for hundreds of millions of years, being cut off from his chain of command for the first time here in Norfinbury is throwing him out of whack a bit.
Current plans: In the absence of any other orders, Castiel is doing his best to follow any of his directives that still apply in this situation, chief among them being to protect humanity. Here that means getting everybody out of Norfinbury before the town eats everyone. There's also the added snag that one Gregory House is claiming to be Lucifer, though, and while Castiel is pretty sure that's just a shitty joke it's not the sort of thing he can comfortably leave unchecked. So; his first priority is reaching town hall and/or aiding the others in doing so, and his second priority is confirming that House is not literally Satan.

As of Day 208 Castiel is in the entrance area, and on 209 he'll be headed up to the Aquarium where he'll meet up with Ecks.
Desired CR: Right now it looks like he'll be running with House and Ecks for at least a little while, but I'm all over any new friends or contacts he might make.
Not looking for: Aside from canon puncturing there's nothing I can think of offhand that I wouldn't be up for!

I've mentioned the intent elsewhere, but once Davesprite's memories pop back in place, I intend for him to contact Castiel for a general "sorry I was kind of an ass here have some info" deal. He's read up a ton on Norfinbury's general mess via old posts and such and he likes being helpful, so he can tell him a bunch. And also explain more what he is too. Partly he just wants to support Castiel's desire to help but also hey other winged dude.

He'll appreciate that! I mean the guys Cas mostly hangs around in canon are a jaded as hell atheist and a Christian who became jaded as hell after meeting him and the rest of the angels and finding out they're all huge douchebags so he's pretty used to people being less than awed with him, but he'll appreciate it.

I totally missed my chance to post to this meme, but I could offer this guy up for potential CR. He's an ex-grim reaper (ex because he defected) and both angels and demons also exist in his canon!
