Player name/preferred contact: Dapper, protectobot Character name and canon: Vasquez, Borderlands.
About them: An aggressive corporate high roller with an ego the size of a planet and enough self-confidence to drown somebody in, Vasquez is a competitive, 'ends justify the means' type of guy. He's pretty selfish and always looking out for himself first; he's used to being able to manipulate a situation to better serve his own ends, whether through talking his way out of things or liberal application of force, and that's exactly what he can't do here in Norfinbury. He's got no strings to pull, and it bothers the hell out of him. Vasquez is excellent at thinking on his feet, and can easily take the lead when the time calls for it. He's quite capable of being a people person, although this is largely reserved for when he thinks he can get things out of somebody--whether they're higher rank than he is or just useful, he's way more likely to be pleasant when he's got an angle. If that doesn't work, well--he doesn't have a problem with just killing people to get what he wants, plain and simple. in short, if you need somebody to talk at people for 84 years to get things done and/or break their skull if it doesn't go so well, hey! vasquez might be the insufferable jackass for you.
Current plans: At the moment, he's getting his bearings and trying to figure out just what he's gonna be dealing with. This basically involves a lot of being very poorly adjusted to the cold, falling flat on his face in buildings, and generally being an undignified mess while he's out of the public eye. It's okay so long as nobody sees--without proof, it never even happened. Desired CR: I'd like for him to wind up in a group eventually! He's already starting to get the idea that he has no choice but to work with everybody else stuck here, so he'll be actually trying to get along with folks. (or. make other people think he's getting along with them. he might gradually make some friends, but it's probably not going to start out genuine on his end.) Plus also, he's been playing nice on the network intro--aside from a few bits, he's really not being the biggest douche he could be. He's already got Rhys for a nemesis, sure, but he's also always available for setting up some negative CR through being the jerk he truly is. Not looking for: Can't think of anything, so! 8'y down for whatever. Other info: it's not a gif but
I feel like these two could potentially mutually benefit from associating with each other, since it sounds like their modes of operation are quite similar. Potential partnership maybe?
oh hell yeah that'd be rad 8y Vasquez is totally down for some Business Dealings tbh. he's going to be pleasantly surprised about finding somebody with a similar angle, too!
Good businessmen with questionable morals should always stick together. So far Pierce hasn't found anyone who actually might see eye-to-eye with him, and I think these two might.
Like never fully trust each other, but know the betrayal is probably coming eventually and they can trust in that which is necessary for a good venture. I am canon blind, but I feel good about this!
But tbh, they could get some pretty interesting stuff rolling, I think. Considering the fact that they both operate in the same sort of vein, I don't see why Vasquez wouldn't think Pierce would be a good business partner while they're all stuck here. :> he's absolutely gonna expect him to stab him in the back at some point, though--'cause. that's what he'd do. he'll be pleasantly surprised if it doesn't happen quickly.
I ammm also canon-blind 'cause I never got around to watching that movie hgjdsgn-- definitely agre with you, though!
