- you do a really good job with bucky! i've really enjoyed reading his character development and what you've been doing with him.
- ok i am 100% canonblind to sherlock but yours is my favorite interpretation i've seen. i adore how you write him, he's snarky and contradictory and a lot of fun to play off of.
they're good muses, brent
also holy shit you are a tagging machine and it's honestly a little terrifying in a good way
how do you do that i'm baffled

You're always fun to chat with (about rp or otherwise) and plotting with you is smooth and easy and always makes me glad when I get the chance for it. But even in plotting things, you aren't too rigid about it. You've let Bucky and Davesprite's CR fluctuate all over the map, which I love. You aren't afraid to let Sherlock be the butt of the joke either, which is something not everyone's willing to do with a highly perceptive genius character (and, I'd argue, is pretty necessary given his deficiencies elsewhere). Even with Al you acknowledge his faults alongside his determination and kindness. I'm getting kind of disjointed here, but I feel like you have a lot of nuance and adaptability in how you play your characters, and it makes playing against them a joy.
Just all over you're great, okay, and I'm glad to have you in the game and to have all this beautiful CR.

I could go on and on and on but really I just want you to say that I adore you and thank you so much for everything you do and keep being amazing. I will absolutely never get tired of every opportunity to get to know you and your characters and build our CR even further.

I really need to get on tagging you with Quark, too, just because I can't get enough of you. Like, ever.

I'm sure that I have told you a million times by now, but I never expected to get so emotionally invested in a neon orange bird teenager, but here I am, totally invested. And it's all because of your writing. I don't know if I can properly quantify what makes it so engaging, but every tag I get from you is so interesting and so very true to the character voice that you've established that I can't wait to reply.
I don't know the character from canon, as I'm Homestuck-blind, but I can tell you that you've never made me think 'oh I thought Davesprite was like that' while threading. It's all completely made sense with the voice you have, and whether he's being serious or silly, it all seems perfect to me. I really admire being able to balance that range of emotion, that sort of development, and still make it so clearly the same character with it being believable.
OOC you are so lovely and I am so glad that we're friends. You're so much fun to plot with, your enthusiasm is contagious and you're always willing to roll with the punches which is something that I appreciate because I am rubbish at fine planning. You're also kind, compassionate, and funny as hell, so I'm glad you're around on my plurk list even when taking RP out of the equation.
Basically, I think you're tops.

But the other thing that gets me (in a way I really appreciate) is that you don't just make her helpful and kind. I've seen characters like her played in bland ways before where that's the be-all-end-all of their character, without any further depth or different emotions than smiles and sunshine. In the different threads we've had it's obvious that Ginger has been affected by her time in Norfinbury and the people she's lost, and has her own issues from life even before entering the game world, in a way that is carefully handled and not just plainly spelling it out. It's made me intrigued as a fellow player and raised my interest for Davesprite to learn more about her and continue that friendship beyond just someone who did a nice thing for him, so to speak.
And to answer the thing you said to me above, I'd love to get CR with Quark! I know very very little about him but I'm excited still. Feel free to hit me up on plurk if you want to tell me more about him, and maybe we can sort out an avenue to have them interact from there! At the least I'll look out for chances to tag him.

I really love everything we do together. I love the silly stuff like Ginger and Sherlock talking about bombs, and I love the more serious stuff like when Quark ran into Bucky and John after the aquarium incident. I'm so impressed by both of your characters. Child characters can be really hard to write well, especially smart ones like Quark, they can so easily become either too adult or too kid, and you have just the right balance. He's smart, and he's helpful, but he has a depth and a vulnerability to him as well.
Echoing what Nabi said about Ginger. Even though she's so sweet and helpful, she never feels bland because you always get the feeling that there's more under the surface that you're not seeing. I really like Ginger, and I wish I had more CR with her. You are also the biggest sweetie OOC and I adore chatting with you, never leave my plurk list or I'll sob gross tears.

I've had a lot of fun talking with you OOC too, commiserating about canon frustrations and seeing how you piece out Castiel's mindset and morality from the mess of SPN's writing, to totally unrelated stuff like when we got to talking about conlangs or whatever other passing topic on plurk has come up by now.
And I want to say that I enjoyed threading against Ienzo, too! Even if I didn't hang around for the full 4th Wall, it was a fun interaction, just seeing how Ienzo dealth with what Davesprite was going through and the whole explanation of how Jarjammed's edition of Sburb went. So thanks for that, too.

I don't really know Supernatural that well, but I really enjoy the sense that Castiel is so sure of himself in some ways and so horribly unsure in others, it makes for a nice depth to character that keeps him interesting and makes his tags fun to read and reply to.

But I've also enjoyed where they get surprisingly deeper into stuff. Like the fear event where they got into the metaphysical talk about how the game works and creation and free will vs predestination, and more recently their current thread discussing vampire stuff. It's fun seeing their different mindsets butt up against each other, and learning more about how his world works too.
I also wanted to say that even if I didn't thread much with Kesara when she was around, I did read her app, and I really enjoyed her overall concept. She and her background aren't something I often see in OCs, at least in the specific way it worked out, and I like the effort put into drawing from real world history to shape out her experiences. I'm always a sucker for magic languages, too, so that's fun.
I've seen you mention on plurk the thought of maybe apping someone else, whether it's an updated Kesara or a different character, and I'm def going to be excited to tag whoever it is if you do go through with it!

Tl;dr, things are just unexpectedly deep, and it's helped enable a perspective for talking about Homestuck's weirdness that I haven't had before this game. I definitely look forward to more CR with these two in the future.

Also echoing what you said about loving how that metaphysics mixup happened, and I also love how they handled it so gracefully when they realized it. Just a sort of "oh, okay, we made a mistake here". Very mature of them, and actually makes the thread more interesting than total bafflement and/or denial of someone's empirical experiences. Thank you so much for being willing to keep it up as long as it happened.

ANYWAY hey I love rping with you! We've had some really fun stuff, and I always feel like I can get something funny from you, but not just funny stuff if that makes sense. Even with Dug when you had him, I loved the ridiculous stuff like Dug agreeing to help Davesprite find eggs or the bra hat, but later on after Homura died was really good too. I felt sad for him! He was such a good dog and you did a good job pulling emotions with what is a pretty simplistic Disney woofer, and he felt very true to character in his voice.
Stephen's been great too. I still haven't seen the movie, but even so you've made him intriguing. I love the bonding over music and that dumb trolling him there at the start, but also the deeper stuff they had like when they got to talking about time travel. That was really good. Davesprite's still kinda trying to do music stuff, but the hold on that is largely from IC depression, partly from simple limits to the editing software. Someday, though. Someday Davesprite's gonna send him something terrible. I def want Davesprite to talk to him again in the future, so I'm going to be keeping an eye out for the opportunity.
And ECKS. ECKS IS MY FAVORITE OF YOURS. I've said it before, but I love seeing her whole mindset and how she develops and handles learning to be a person, especially after her background with being used as a weapon and everything. Like I said the funny stuff they get into is great (their current thread is a joy), but things like their talk after the murder event and when he almost attacked her from paranoia, or even right at the beginning with her network post showing herself. All of those have been really good, and she's honestly been a good point of like... She's helped him face some things, like being abnormal in Norfinbury, and the depths MN poisoning can affect him. It's good stuff, and I am really excited to see how she develops in the future, both on her own in general game progress and in their particular CR.
