There's not a lot of description of him in the books appearance-wise! So I go with a mix of his icons (Ben Barnes as Prince Caspian in The Dawn Treader specifically) and his comic appearances. Hopefully he's gonna have more comics appearances when the Death of Dulgath graphic novel comes out.

Height: 5'3 (which is headcanon since all they say in the books is that he's shorter than Hadrian)
Weight: 130ish pounds
Hair Color: Dark brown, almost black
Hair Style: To his shoulders when it's down, but it's a 50/50 chance that it'll be tied up and back in a ponytail
Eye Color: Blue!
Facial Features: Royce is typically described in the books as having "sharp, elegant features, dark hair, and dark eyes". Things like "cold eyes, expressionless face, and [a] curt manner" are also used to describe him. Several times people mention his "cold, dead eyes", plus shit like, "a man accustomed to killing has the look of a wolf - empty of soul and hungry for blood" and like eight more times of describing he has eyes like a wolf. He's also got a beard, which is like his icons but maybe a bit scruffier. He can't grow it past that because he's a half-elf. He doesn't have pointy ears! They're maybe a bit pointier than humans but not enough that you could tell he's an elf. Also, I promise he's not like, as undead looking as he is in those comic panels, idk what the fuck the artist was doing.
Body: He's slender and fit. He's got long, deft fingers and he's exactly what you might imagine a tiny assassin would look like. He's got a tattoo of a black diamond on his hip, and there's a brand on his shoulder of the letter M.
Clothing: Royce is practically part cloak. You can see it in the pictures up there, the thing swallows him. 95% of the time he is hiding in that thing doing his best to look menacing. Underneath it he's got a black tunic and simple black pants, boots made for climbing/traveling and leather gloves. Nothing fancy, because he's pragmatic as hell.
Posture: Small and hunched. He's very defensive, curled like he's ready to attack anything that might threaten him.
Voice: If you've ever seen Critical Role, I imagine Royce's accent and tone to be very similar to Vax's. Kind of a low drawl, tinged British and posh-y.

ɪɴ ɴᴏʀꜰɪɴʙᴜʀʏ

He hasn't changed that much! The normal wear and tear after 4.5 months in snowhell. Royce can be scary still, and that's the posture he tries to put off most of the time, but it probably isn't hard to tell that he feels dead inside. His MN poisoning is depression level three, he's lost a lot of friends and had to kill his wife in this last event (which is a SUPER BIG DEAL past the fact that she's his wife) and now he's kind of just apathetic. He's definitely malnourished and small, and he probably is shivering like most of the time. He didn't weigh a whole lot to begin with, so if you ever catch him with his shirt off you'll probably see his rib cage. Royce looks pretty haggard and pale and tired.

He's also got a few gray hairs but don't tell anybody, because that's a thing he is pointedly ignoring. He's a half elf, he's not supposed to get gray hairs, okay, fuck this place.

THE JOKER is 6'5" with white skin, green hair and eyes, red lips. His eyes are wild and bloodshot even in his more lucid moments. I tend to prefer him with angular features and a square jaw that accentuates his wide grin (vs the narrow chin he is sometimes portrayed with). In Snowblind he wears a black coat that does not quite fit him in the waist, snow boots, a wide-brimmed feathered hat, sunglasses, gloves, and a thin fabric scarf made from one of his torn sleeves. He has lost a lot of weight and looks even more haggard and emaciated than usual. His hair has grown out a bit and is never slicked back in a pompadour anymore. Because of MN poisoning he looks feverish and coughs up blood fairly regularly which has stained some of his clothing. His voice can sound a bit shrill. Canonically he has to lower it when he's in disguise or he'd give himself away. I imagine it is slightly lower than the voice performed by Hamill but still likely sounds very similar to his voice in Arkham City, especially since he's so sick.

General appearance:

Ecks is 5'10" with a thin, boyish build. Most of her hair is a dull, dishwater brown apart from a stark white patch on the right side of her head. Her skin is made up of patches from multiple bodies, with at least six skin tones easily visible on her face and hands. For those familiar with classic fantasy races, it might be possible to work out that both her ears came from the same elf and that her yellow eyes came from some variety of orc. The seams between patches remain visible, with permanent, magically fused stitches.

Ecks does not intuitively modulate her tone of voice or change her facial expression, so she displays resting blank face and speaks in a monotone whenever she isn't making a deliberate effort to do otherwise. Her body language is somewhat stiff and unnatural, but she carries herself upright and with the confidence of a trained fighter.

She arrived in Norfinbury kitted out in mottled gray clothing under mottled gray armor, almost like she was equipped for camouflage in a rocky wasteland. Her clothing looks like a plain tunic and trousers, but conceals a truly hideous number of secret pockets.


Ch-ch-ch-changes:

Ecks gave up on the whole camouflage thing a while ago and regularly goes about with a tablecloth tied around her like a skirt for additional warmth. She's a bit of a pack mule; at any given time she's likely carrying multiple bags, including a duffel bag, and ties things onto the outsides of her bags with fishing line to boot. She's grown even thinner than how she was originally made, to the point where she's bony under her bulky clothing/armor/bags and bags of junk. She has a scar from a stab wound on one shoulder and a ring of burn scars around her neck, both quick-healed due to having died not long after sustaining each of the relevant injuries.

General appearance:

Stephen is 6'0" with a trim figure. His hair is black apart from the gray at his temples. His eyes appear to change color in different light because apparently Bumblebee Cabbagepatch is a special snowflake with sectoral heterochromia, which I just found out when I asked google what the fuck color his eyes are. Green, mostly. Or blue. Whatever.

Stephen dresses like some kind of cultist, all in blue apart from his magical red cloak. Up until his arrival in Norfinbury he kept his facial hair trimmed into a goatee. He carries himself at his full height, and his face is an open book.

Stephen's hands are heavily scarred and exhibit involuntary tremors due to extensive nerve damage.


In Norfinbury:

Without the aid of an electric razor, Stephen has not made more than a brief, token effort to keep his beard under control and his goatee has vanished into its general mass over the past two months. His hair is generally unkempt, though he makes a daily effort to keep it as clean and untangled as he can. He's lost muscle mass, and the shaking, stiffness, and pain in his hands has gotten worse due to the cold, to the point where he completely avoids certain activities he would have found difficult but doable when he first arrived, such as typing. His daytime wardrobe hasn't changed much apart from the addition of the standard coat, but in the evenings he often changes into the hodgepodge of garments he's found around town in order to give his clothes time to air and dry out. He's starting to get loaded down with items, as he's taken on all the medical supplies and clothing he can find, including a four-footed cane given to him by Sylar.

canon (supplemented with a lot of headcanon because Homestuck's visual style is simplistic)

• Davesprite is a floating, orange bird dude whose legs have been replaced entirely by a long tail. His skin, hair, feathers, and irises are all a pretty bright shade of orange.
  
• While the exact length sprites are isn't officially laid out, Davesprite's tail is nonetheless really long. (Warning for stylized injury + blood in the second link.) If he were still a normal human, he would stand about 5'10" right now, with some growing left in him still. The tail is several feet extra.
  
• His blood is bright yellow and glows faintly.
  
• He is vaguely around 17 (16 normal years + up to a year spent in another timeline) and still has some teenage gawkiness left in him, but is generally of a tall and slim build. There is some muscle from sword use, but it's incidental rather than an intentional thing he trains for.
  
• His wings are pretty big and follow the general shape of an American crow's (Corvus brachyrhynchos), scaled up for a human of his size and stature. There is a faint scar that interrupts the feathers on the right wing where it was previously severed.
  
• He has a ruff of feathers around his neck.
  
• This is pure headcanon, but his arms and hands are scaled, ending in semi-talon style nails. They're not full bird claws, but they're closer to that than normal fingernails.
  
• He has a collection of scars here and there, many along his arms (though fading where the scales cover), mostly from several years of sword training and other battles in Sburb. Some are obviously cuts, others are from scrapes.
  
• There is a large scar on his stomach where he was one stabbed with a sword. This is a pretty good ref and also shows the kind of face shape I imagine him with.
  
• Prototyping (the thing that turned him into a weird bird dude) has left him with a hole that goes through his chest and out his back between his wings/shoulder blades, since the crow he joined bodies with had been impaled on a sword. Normally he would have a katana there, as pictured in one of the images above, but he has since lost it in a fight. Also, keeping a sword there constantly gets awkward.
  
• He constantly wears a pair of aviator style shades, matching the ones Ben Stiller wore in Starsky and Hutch. His are orange because of prototyping and also have the function of an iPhone via Sburb's weird item crafting system. He also wears a t-shirt, similarly turned orange through prototyping.
  
• He has freckles across his cheeks and the bridge of his nose, but they are kind of difficult to make out from the orange-on-orange, and partly hidden by his shades besides.
  
• His posture is pretty upright and confident, and his expression tends toward even and pokerfaced, with strong emotions purposely held back when he can.
  
• He has a mild Texan accent which he usually tries to suppress. it slips out more when he's stressed or worked up.
  
• He can make actual crow sounds, too.

after 3 months in Norfinbury

• He's restricted to floating a couple inches off the ground, and can "jump" via flapping his wings, but no higher than a normal human could. He cannot properly fly or even glide.
  
• He dresses like a fashion-challenged garbage dump.
  
• He's gone from slim to looking underfed and skinny.
  
• His hair is getting shaggy and could use a cut, but heck if he knows how to go about that.
  
• He's constantly tired-looking, and while the shades hide the dark circles, they don't hide everything. This transfers to his posture, too.
  
• He's often sore (pain level 1) so it's not uncommon to see him rubbing at sore joints or muscles, especially near the end of the day.
  
• He's somewhat more expressive as he steadily learns to accept that showing emotions isn't a bad thing, but a blank pokerface is still his default.
  
• He tries to at least wash his face and hair when he can, but there's not often places with running water, and even less where that water is hot. He got that hobo stank. He does preen his feathers regularly, though.

CANON

- Okay, so this isn't entirely confirmed canon, but Karkat has been described as a "tactical midget." So, yeah, he is SHORT, current reckoning being 5'2" because it amuses me to make him 62 inches tall. Fight me.
- Weight-wise, on a similar theme, he's 126 lbs. (To, uh, anyone who doesn't know, belated clarification: Homestuck likes to abuse significant numbers, one of which is Karkat's wriggling day [birthday] of 6/12. General configurations of those three numbers and 413 tend to turn up a lot.)
- Posture: Pretty much exclusively defensive or confrontational. Karkat tends to think the world is out to get him and acts like it. Because of his height and overall demeanor, this may or may not mean that he tries to make himself bigger while simultaneously attempting to slouch and act like he doesn't give a shit. He's awful at both.
- Eye color: Trolls his age have... okay, well, TECHNICALLY their irises are gray and the "whites" of their eyes are orange, but it looks more like black and yellow because. Well, it does. Karkat is still pretty damn young, so he adheres to this rule and will likely do so for as long as Snowblind is around.
- Body language?: Like I said, defensive/confrontational. He stomps around a lot and generally tries to make his presence known, but this is really just a big show. (He Tries Very Hard, please acknowledge him.) He also gestures a lot and is generally a pretty big drama queen. ALSO ALSO prone to draping himself across various objects in really weird positions while he throws tantrums about stupid shit? I don't know, I don't make the rules.
- I should mention here before going into Norfinbury stuff that he has some pretty big issues with insomnia (and anxiety), so yeah, there will definitely be bags under his eyes.

IN NORFINBURY

- SO ABOUT THAT INSOMNIA, it's kicking up in a horribly bad way following the most recent event. Enjoy those ridiculous bags.
- Clothes-wise, he's actually mostly wearing what he came with? Except he has the black peacoat, a bright red jersey underneath because I'm terrible, and a pair of boots he has only recently gotten his prongs on. Yay.
- Baggage-wise, he just has the backpack + a bowling ball bag that may or may not contain a Cat. He is a sucker and the Cat is small and he feels bad when tiny paws have to deal with snow a lot, fuck off.
- He's generally looking more ragged and worn and probably thinner. He'd actually been doing pretty okay but the last event really fucked with him? So yes, exhaustion and generally being upset and twitchy because paranoia MN poisoning type is also a thing. He's sort of a wreck, but he's trucking on regardless.

Billy is 5'8 and 155. He isn't incredibly buff but it's obvious that he either goes to the gym or spends a lot of his time being physically active. He has black hair which is down to his chin and not so much cut as grown out and ignored at the moment. His eyes are brown. He's somewhere between depression stubble and an actual beard.

In Norfinbury he's wearing his costume as pictured above. It's a dark grey/black bodysuit with some piping and metallic details, with built in boots. Over the top he wears a gigantic red cape that's usually partially pulled up to cover his head as well as his Norfinbury-issue red peacoat.

He tends to have bad posture when he's not paying attention and maintains a good amount of personal space. He talks with his hands and has overdramatic body language at times.

-> About 5'6", with a strong solid build. All muscle: his body shows that he was doing heavy physical labour as a mortal, and potentially not eating quite enough for it. s
-> His posture used to be good, ALAS. At 300 years old, he's got remarkable control over his body and reflexes and never moves unless he means to. It gets creepy. That said, his body language is mostly calm with a touch of hidden energy.
-> Olive skin gone corpse-grayish. Not pretty. This is not your Twilight aesthetics he doesn't look pale and ethereal he looks dead.
-> Sable-brown hair down to his shoulders, thick but also not pretty because dead. Hazel eyes, though in canon they glow red.
-> Somewhat heavy features, squarish jaw, deep set eyes, hard to peg his ethnicity. An animated face for a man otherwise so still and controlled. Lots of eyebrow action.
-> Scarring on his back that looks like the result of being whipped with a knotted rope. Very old and faded by now.

In Snowhell!

-> Has lost a lot of weight even for a snowbo, and his solid frame doesn't carry it well. You can see all his bones. His eyes and cheeks are sunken and it plays right into the corpse thing.
-> So much for good posture. Perpetually hunched over and pulling his coat and cloak tight to himself, and usually shivering a little too. He'll never get used to feeling cold again. Hasn't lost his physical control otherwise, though, so still capable of unnerving stillness.
-> His respiratory system is wrecked from repeated illness, so he gets breathless easily, and his voice is raspy and a bit uneven.
-> Eyes don't glow anymore except when he's feeding regularly, so when he takes off the glasses - which is not often - you can see their natural hazel colour.
-> He still has his original outfit, to which he's added a red knitted scarf that looks adorable on him thankyouverymuch, and a blanket he wears like a wraparound cloak. It is not dignified.
-> Hair has not grown out no beard no new scars freakin vampire. Looks just as worn and haggard as the rest of them but on him it mostly just blends into the overall looking hella dead thing.

She has a few minor scars now - a circular burn scar on the palm of her left hand, and regular scarring across the bases of her pinkie and ring fingers on the other hand. The scarring on her ring finger is much more noticable than the other

She makes a conscious effort to try and speak more casually than she used to, but isn't super great at it (she slips most often when she's talking about something she's super interested and/or invested in)

Manny looks very similar to the icons because I try to pick a pb before getting too much of a physical image of a character in my mind. He's 5'7" ish and of an average weight. He is a mutt in the purest sense of the word but he's pretty hispanic-looking.

He speaks with a noticeable cajun accent, but I'm crap at typing out accents so please just imagine it <3

He came in wearing denim coveralls, a t-shirt and steel toed boots.

He never talks and he's practically feral.

In Norfinbury

Everything above still stands, but he's acquired Stuff. The standard-issue backpack, with a pillowcase tied to each side, and a mail carrier's bag are for carrying said Stuff.

He also has a red blanket he uses as a cloak and the Jade doll that he carries in a front pocket so is often visible.

He still doesn't talk (to almost everyone). If he needs to eat or drink around people he'll uncover his mouth and nose and nothing else. He's also still basically feral.
Unlike most people (because he was terrible malnourished before) he's put on a bit of weight in snowhell. He's still malnourished, so its only Noticeable if people knew how bad he was before.

★ magenta's most defining feature (by far!) is the big-ass scar on the left side of his face--like in this specific icon. his eye is totally gone underneath it, but it's hard to tell. (there's also a matching scar on his chest, and a healing injury going through his foot.)
★ related to the above, he has a slight limp! he literally shot himself in the foot. (well, it's more complicated than that, but y'know.)
★ he's tall, skinny, and Looming. he wasn't an especially big guy to begin with, build-wise, but he's lost a lot of weight both in the weeks leading up to his current canonpoint and in norfinbury.
★ his remaining eye is drawn...inconsistently, but usually as a blue-purple-grey.
★ also, at this point, it's worth mentioning that he's drawn to specifically look like marc bolan, british glam rock star. because, you know, this is jojo's bizarre adventure, and everyone has to have that weird obligatory rock reference in them. the most noticeable bit of this influence is obv. magenta's lovely Mess Of Hair, which is dark, curly, and a pain to deal with.
★ for a jojo, he's weirdly presentable? his main outfit consists of a top hat + heavy coat + collar...thing w/ brooch + underclothes, all in shades of...well, magenta. he has an aesthetic to maintain.
★ magenta sounds AWFUL. canonically. he doesn't have any actual in-game voice i can reference, but the way his dialogue is written indicates that he's...well, if you want to go by the translation team's approximation, he sounds like "a more coherent donald duck", with a side of very rural-sounding charm. this is halfway natural, halfway because he's Always Sick and sneezy.
★ oh yeah, he's Always Sick and sneezy. he drools a lot as well, because TBI. he's mad about it.

in norfinbury!

★ as mentioned above, he's skeeny as hell, and shakes a lot. he doesn't deal well with cold.
★ most of the time, he keeps his hair tied back with hairties, for practicality. it makes him look kind of goofy, but he'll defend his fashion choices to the bitter end.
★ when out and about, he also tries to keep some fabric over the scar on his face in a makeshift eyepatch. (doctor's orders.)
★ since he's not even SEEN a razor since arriving in snowhell, he has a fair amount of stubble going on. more than stubble, really, though a far cry from an actual beard.

A picture - he's the one on the left, obviously. The reason I'm using this image will be made clear shortly. ...Also yes his creator fails at anatomy sometimes. Pretend his arm muscles aren't wonky.

-5'11", 187lbs, pretty much all muscle and no body fat. I will not pretend that's a good thing - it means he's never had good insulation without a blanket or something. Muscles put out a lot of heat but without fat to trap it it gets lost fast.
-Blond hair, turquoise blue eyes (that canon can't seem to decide how much is green), bronze skin (canon can't seem to settle on a skintone, but "bronze" is the only written descriptor his author has used afaik)
-Always carries himself well. Shoulders back, back straight. He only slouches when extremely exhausted.
-Didn't always go shirtless all the time but since his armor hides/overwrites whatever he's wearing on the upper half of his body he's grown so used to it he prefers it now. Ditto for wearing jeans. (YEAH ABOUT THAT, his buddy there is a time-traveling angel. Who loves jeans. And gave Enoch a pair of his own.)

Snowblind

-He's lost a bunch of weight - he's now closer in general size to his friend Lucifel there (now you see why I chose that picture)
-Still mostly muscle because that's all there was to consume
-His shoulders are too broad to look as good at this weight as Lucifel does. It's somewhat salvaged by the fact that his musculature is still kind of top-heavy from lugging his stuff around.
-He's made a belt out of a red nylon dog leash so he can still wear his jeans.
-He's also wearing a bunch of yellow - a rainboot/raincoat set beneath the brown cloak he came in with + a pastel yellow blanket he's using as a scarf. Also duck-yellow baby blanket mittens.
-His aging has resumed! Which means the stress is causing his hair to start to gray. It's mostly in wisps in the front, mixed into the locks that escape the hood of his cloak.
-No beard though. Lucifel blocked his facial hair growth when he came to Heaven because he doesn't like beards and doesn't want to be seen with Enoch with one I guess? Vain archangel. That stayed as a flavor ability because automatic face insulation? Yeah fucking right. You don't get it that easy, Enoch.

DAI's color rendering is lacking in true black but I describe his hair as black anyway.
His eyes are a blue-green color.
He's about 5'8" and fairly muscular.
Some of that is aesthetic but most of that is from Thedas magic being done with a really big stick.
He arrived in armor a lot like this.

His body language is very fluid and his hands are always busy whether it's gesturing or just fiddling his fingers.
He takes up his space with confidence, usually not aggressively.

After a month in game

He's lost a little weight.
The soul patch and mustache have been groomed into a neat beard.
The sidecuts on his hair has grown out and he's done his best to even it up with his scissors. He's pretty good at this.
He hunches more now that he's having some pain issues from MN.
His clothes are grubbier but he washes himself regularly with snow or water if available.
Darker bags under his eyes.
