Sadly, it does not. While getting thrown out of the Circle is hardly the highlight of my life, I'm not going to feel shame for winning fights against boys three years older than myself.

No, is fifteen childhood? Likely not. That would make the most embarrassing memories the times my mother dragged me around by my ear in public. 'We don't say things like that to a Magister, Dorian.' She was right about all of them. Very humiliating. Sometimes even when I know she's thousands of miles away I expect her to come up behind me, grab my left ear lobe, and march me out of the party.
