    Rage and selfishness is the human condition, handsome. People act nice so other people will like them. I don't believe for a second anyone is really that selfless when you get down to it.

    If he could not get you both to safety? Likely so. His ideals were very much like mine even if he went about expressing them poorly, and I would.
