Regardless, they're pretty. Could you truly fly with them?

Oh, I wasn't born with them! Just the tattoos. A siren has to be sufficiently powerful before they can manifest the wings, which is probably for the best. Having your baby born with sick tattoos is one thing, and having it immediately fly out of the hospital window is another.

So, um, no. Wasn't named for the wings. But yes, I could fly! Not that I had anywhere to fly to, but. It was still cool.

One would hope they need to learn to use their wings much like they must learn to use their legs, but... A winged toddler doesn't sound much easier to handle, really.
