I think Jim *thinks* he wants to visit the bustling economic centers where things are Happening All the Time and it's exciting. He's from the Space British Empire, but a really tiny and dead part of it; he wants to be in Space London.

However I think that once he got there it would get on his nerves pretty quickly - too many rules! - and he'd be more inclined to spend his time seeking out unknown and unexplored corners of the galaxy because those are more exciting.

Before Norfinbury, what sorts of things did Jim think about before falling asleep at night?

Here's some fun with worldbuilding for you: Talk to me re: religion in Jim's world, and how does he fit into it?

How does Jim feel about the distant future possibility of having kids? Not in Norfinbury of course.

Absolutely terrified, when he thinks about it at all. :D More than anything he doesn't want to be his father and doesn't want to screw a kid up that way.

Pan and I have a few verses where they do have kid/s in the future and it's always 100% an accident on Jim's part but he's not bad about it... as long as you consider safety to be semi-optional.
