Say everything goes as well as it can with figuring out Norfinbury, getting to the end, and so on. What's the ideal situation for House, if he could set aside doubts and realism and have it all go the way he'd want?

That's a difficult question for House to wrap his head around. Getting everything he wants is a terrifying idea.

Really, his ideal would be returning to New Jersey with his leg remaining healed, his detox successfully done, and his memories intact. He'd want Wilson's memories of what happened gone, and he'd want to bring Quark with him... possibly Ecks if they can figure out a way to disguise her. A part of him would want to bring Beckett, as well, given that his world is gone, and House would enjoy the continued intellectual sparring.

Once back, he'd be able to get Wilson into treatment for his cancer before it progressed very far, and then he'd just live out his life as he'd planned to. Preferably with Wilson living far longer than his current expiration date.
