About them: I'm always bad at this.
Zell is someone who does't like lingering on the bad and likes keeping a goal in mind. He tends to group everyone on the same team or having the same goal (unless it's the Joker). Sometimes he forgets to filter his thoughts and is pretty honest. He's a teenage who goes between good and being morally gray. His world is pretty sketchy and there's always wars. He was also raised thinking training kids to be mercenaries is totally normal, but the people here are beginning to get it in his head that it's not okay.

He usually hangs with Jim Hawkins from Treasure Planet, Zack Fair from Final Fantasy VII: The Shadow the hedgehog prequel, and Kunsel from the same canon as Zack.

Zell has been trained in covert operations and knows hand to hand combat. In his world he was a history dork.

Current plans: They are trying to figure things out and usually are in new areas and exploring. They are taking it easy though because other people have it handled and some chilling out would do them some good. They will be back in the thick of it when things are rolling again. \o/

About them: He basically doesn't like friendship, but that's being whittled down thanks to a few people. Vanitas is pretty much the darkness ripped out from a kid and given physical form. He's more chatty lately and might actually help people but don't point that out. Emotions are still hard and he hates how much he likes people.

Current plans: He has split off from people and is currently on his way to get his own cult mark. He has an idea, which probably won't go any where but he wants to try it anyways. He's also back to being a brat at people on the network.

Oh yeah also trying to pretend he isn't happy Billy is back and is busy being a prickly thing at him because how dare he go and die in the first place.

I wouldn't mind him running into people while being solo. Eventually he'll probably go back to visit friends people he doesn't mind.

About them: Will is a broken teacup. Actually he's been broken a few times, glued back together and broken again, with some key pieces missing. But there is beauty in the broken lines.

He is an ex-profiler with the FBI, a man who was never a full agent because he couldn't pass the psyche evals. He is mentally unstable, and has pretty much decided that he can get on board with righteous vengeance against bad people, rather than following the letter of the law these days.

His best friend is one of the most prolific serial killers on record in their canon and also a cannibal. Does it help that he's also a really good cook? Thought not.

Part of what makes Will the man he is, is the ability to identify and empathize with anyone, but particularly serial killers. He lives with the things of nightmares in his head almost constantly. And I have a permissions post for him about this habit of his.

His moral compass still mostly points north, though it may take a few extra spins to get in the right direction. He's beyond fatalistic at this point, and believes that he's lost the war against becoming like Hannibal. This doesn't mean he's ready to go on a murder spree, but if he were to get into a physical altercation, it would probably end in murder.

Current plans: Right now he is working very hard on trying to unlock puzzles and keep the group moving forward. His second job is actually dual duty. Trying to keep House alive, and trying to keep Hannibal from getting in the mood to source for a dinner party. Both of these efforts are full time jobs, and this on top of things like tablet seances.

Desired CR: I take CR as it develops ICly, but that means I am always on the lookout for a way to put characters together, thread them and let them sort themselves out. I'm open to discussing things!

Not looking for: I am actually trying to avoid a genuine physical altercation with another character, just to keep things from going too serious, while work is being done on moving everybody on in game. Sniping over the network is all good!

Castiel (and Jimmy)

Character name and canon: Castiel | Supernatural

About them: Castiel is an angel - which, in Supernatural's setting's terms, essentially means he's an automaton constructed out of divine power to serve the will of the Abrahamic God. Angels of his rank are designed to lack free will and autonomy of their own and are meant to simply follow instructions without question, but after their God stopped talking to them some thousands of years back that's gone off the rails a bit.

Castiel specifically is an angel of divided loyalties - he adores humanity (and life on Earth as a whole) and will go out of his way to protect it at nearly any cost to himself, but is also struggling to come to terms with the fact that his commanders and perhaps even his God Himself don't necessarily feel the same way. As a creature that's spent the first hundreds of millions of years of his life receiving orders and carrying them out with absolute certainty as to why and who it served written into his mind, he's been having some difficulty working out not only how to feel about these issues, but also how to ask questions in the first place.

On a less existential level, Castiel is very, very old and sometimes has trouble keeping up with modern human trends like "electronics" and "sarcasm". He's a quick learner, for someone operating on the sort of timescale he does, but that's not saying much.

Also, he's currently piloting around the body of a radio station employee from Illinois named Jimmy, whose corporeal form he borrowed because angels tend to burn the eyes out of anyone who looks at them in their true forms. Jimmy pops up from time to time. He's not thrilled about his situation.

Current plans: Well for one thing I need to remember I'm in this game and start actually tagging people again. I sort of fell off the horse due to some extended illness but now I'm hopefully back and planning to send Castiel down to the new area to flip some tiles and possibly help with puzzles, since he's a good lackey and with the rising prominence of all the cult nonsense actually has some insight of his own occasionally.
Desired CR: God there's so many new people to meet and also old people I somehow never got around to tagging. I'm up for just about anything, really! I love positive CR, obviously, but Cas can be prickly and argumentative especially when it comes to certain cultural taboos or other gods existing, and I'm more than happy to explore that.
Not looking for: Just about anything other than making people OOCly uncomfortable! I know that Castiel's character and the subject matter he inherently tends to bring up are not going to be topics everyone's thrilled to explore in such an inherently goofy medium as DWRP, so if any of you would prefer I avoid certain subjects or just not tag you at all, there's a screened opt out post in his journal. About them: Take a perfectly good former teen superhero and give him anxiety/depression about the fact that one day he'll rewrite the entire universe: you now have a Wiccan.

Billy is good-hearted, glib about upsetting things, prone to hiding behind jokes, and difficult to weird out. He tends to be okay working with "bad guys" as long as they're not actively hurting anyone and is pretty chill about children in dangerous situations because he spent a lot of time as a child being annoyed about adults freaking out over him being in dangerous situations.

About them: Rhys is...complicated. Though he's mostly a nice guy, a healer, and helpful when he can be, he's also a recovering junkie, manic-depressive, and ex-con, who's lived most of his life as a street bum. This means he's got a lot of, shall we say, practical skills? And a very down to earth approach to things. Never mind the shady past, though, he genuinely likes helping people, having seen some of the worst that life has to offer.

He's also a practicing white witch and druid, coming from a world where the supernatural exists in secret and is generally terrible. Seriously. Most of his stories about his world boil down to "Yeah, that'll probably kill you. Or eat you. Not always in that order."

Current plans: Right now, Rhys is in a pretty bad depressive slump and trying desperately to get out of it. He's a good guy, he's just...sort of a mess. Distractions are good, so he's on the way to the grocery store to play Santa Claus with all the good stuff, but if he can find something better to do or someone that needs his help, he'll be happy to tackle that instead.

Desired CR: Friends are good. Friends are always good. Cuddle buddies? Rhys could also probably do with beating the shit out of someone, too, though. Therapy.

About them: A small boy who's grown way, way past his years. He's a survivalist, clever, and willing to do what has to be done to get out of here, though he often finds himself struggling with the knowledge that getting out of here might not necessarily be better. He tends to hold grudges and have a quick temper, but regardless of that fact he does his best to be polite and honest to everyone up until the point that they do something to lose his respect.
Current plans: He's traveling with Diana and Junpei--and working through the awkwardness that is his grandpa traveling with him but being younger and not knowing him. He's keeping secrets from them because he doesn't want them to have to know what the world is like in his timeline, but there's only so long he can do that for. Other than that, he's rekindled his desire to practice learning piano, but has no concrete plans or goals.
Desired CR: Anything! Found family, friends, people who can teach him things, or people who he can fight with. Quark's trying not to be too angry anymore but there's always the chance to backslide. I'd also love if anyone needs him to be a minion for any reason.

About them: If you've played Zero Escape, all you need to know is I firmly believe 999!Junpei is still in there. I don't think ZTD took him "out of character" at all-- he's just hurting right now.

If you haven't, this canon is really obscure, so here's a couple things.

He does come off as a jerk. Partly by accident, and partly with the intention of closing himself off from new relationships. But that's not who he really is. His true self is incredibly caring and loyal, and once he becomes attached to someone it takes an almost complete betrayal of his trust in order to push him away.

He also tends to judge everyone as above or below him, offering either respect or a need to protect them, once he's decided. If he isn't sure, or sees them as an equal, his attitude will usually be more challenging. So it's important to note arguing or fighting, even if it gets physical, doesn't necessarily mean he dislikes your character (House is currently his favourite person here, after Quark, for example). Silence, on the other hand, might. (Will. Watson. Looking at you two.)

Current plans: He's with Diana and Quark right now, and kind of torn because he wants to go help solve everything, but doesn't want to drag the two into anything potentially dangerous. So while he's focusing on them, I'd like to get some more network interaction going on. Which is difficult with a character that will rarely bother to look at his tablet.

Desired CR: More friends, more enemies, whatever!
Junpei won't be abandoning Quark as long as he can help it, but he definitely prefers talking to people offline rather than over the network (and I prefer logs, too, honestly), so I'd love it if anyone wanted to arrange a meetup at some point. Solving puzzles would be the most amazing thing, but he's starting Day 329 in Building 84 so that's obviously not feasible just yet. Unless someone wants to take another shot at Building 68?

Also, not muse related, but I'm wondering if anyone's available during daytime, EST? I'm finding that work and timezones mean the people I'm threading with right now are only able to tag in the morning or at night, so I'm kind of sitting here all day with nothing to do. Which honestly only hurts because I love you all. If I could find even one player who's around when the others aren't, everything would balance out.

Not looking for: ... Uh... I mean probably I don't want anyone killing him or giving him any permanent injuries this early on (since I may have to let him die if work forces me on a hiatus in April). About them: A tiny ex-military mixed martial artist who works as the security heavy for a crew of interstellar smugglers. He's gentle, wise, supportive and tries be a calming influence on people without ever sugarcoating harsh truths.

He wears an expression constantly brimming with thoughtful melancholy and he tends to wax philosophical more easily than he engages in small talk which can be tiring sometimes. Once he gets to know people his more playful side comes out.

...Also he's a thirteen billion year old light being/Gnostic aeon and harbinger of the apocalypse so he exists in a state of perpetual existential crisis but boohoo we all have problems.


Current plans: He's been haunting the area around the chapel in Residential Zone 3, trying to find a way in. Unfortunately he's not much of a puzzle solver since he's been mostly existing as an observer for the last few thousand years.


Desired CR: Friends, enemies, companions... One thing I would LOVE is an excuse to explore his morality. For all of his apparent goodness, chaos takes part in below board dealings all the time and used to work doing covert military missions for the government. He will fight dirty if he has to. This is a guy who wound up working on a crew by winning all of the crew's money in poker and holding the money hostage until everyone agreed to do what he said. So don't worry about throwing complicated CR his way I would love to see where it goes.

chaos is also a good shoulder for characters to lean on if they need someone to talk to. Obviously CR might have to build up to that point but he never shares other people's secrets and never judges.

Not looking for: Romance is probably not going to happen.

Zack's usually friendly, personable, and generally an all around decent human being with a penchant for stupid humor and confidence for miles. This comes from him hailing as a First Class SOLDIER from home which is a Big Deal albeit Bad Things Happened. But despite his title, he didn't really act like one might have though CAUSE HE'S A DUMB SHOUNEN HERO. That is, until the fire nation attacked Snowhell happened.

Due to nine months+ here, Zack's a little more aloof and not quite as trusting as he once was. His sunny personality has had a lot more of a damper to it due to all the bad shit that's happened and how little control he has over things. Doesn't mean he's unwilling to help people, but he's more cautious than he'd usually be. Partly has something to do with his paranoia getting punched up some, too.

Current plans: JUST KINDA HANGING OUT AND TRYING NOT TO DIE. He travels with Kunsel, Zell, and Jim and they've been using their downtime to restock and revisit a few places. Better off not to crowd up res 3 and get everyone monstered, right?

Desired CR: I don't really have anything I'm burning for in specific, but I'm open to try things and see what works and what doesn't?

Not looking for: Getting him killed. Romance is a nah, too. He'd be hard pressed to be convinced to want to be with anyone at this point.

Does not always succeed, particularly if his judgment is clouded in some way or if the deck is just stacked against him. Gets along with snarky asshole prankster types alarmingly well. His canon is definitely a weird one so apologies in advance for it and for him.
Current plans: He is currently with Borderlands' Angel (and hoping to reunite with Rhys at some point later?), and is in a massive downward spiral of intense depression that's going to bottom out very soon unless something unexpected happens.

About them: Ecks is a flesh golem who's four months shy of her third birthday, and she's spent literally a quarter of her life in Snowhell now. She's from a world overrun by evil gods and their creatures, and it's been a real learning curve for her to learn how to more or less function among people from less awful worlds. She's doing well, though! Mostly. Apart froma few pesky murders.
Current plans: Ecks is in the party that's getting an SD card from Shelley Derricks's grave marker in the columbarium; presumably they'll be heading to the high school from there to coordinate whatever needs to happen next in order to open up a new area.
Desired CR: I'm pretty open to just throwing her in with others and letting things happen organically. Hopefully soon there will be an opportunity for her to interact with others on the open network regarding an announcement of whatever they accomplish at the columbarium and high school.

About them:
Right-hand-man to the boss of an assassination squad for the ~most influential~ mafia family in Italy. It's funny because he only has the right hand. He's arrogant, vain, a sword enthusast, and a walking manifestation of FIGHT ME. Like a proper psychopath, he's capable of turning up the charm and humor, though more often than not he's just rude and not particularly conversational. He can respect strength, rationality and practicality (or what he thinks them to be), but he's easily annoyed by friendship sunshine rainbows approach.

He's been surprisingly good so far and hasn't killed anyone in Norfinbury yet! Though that's mostly because there hasn't been anything to gain from it and not because he's decided to have a change in career, whoops. He also hasn't been quite as violent and screamy as he normally is, because 1) he spends a lot of time alone 2) gotta preserve that energy 3) he's been successful at picking the rare travel partner that doesn't piss him off.

Current plans:
He's been hanging out with the murder clowns and their friend, Cyan Cyan. Their group was broken up recently and he'd ended up with the Joker (what a joke, right), but barring anything unexpected he will split off in a few days to hopefully get his (literal) hairy problem sorted out.

Yes, he's going to ask someone (probably John) to get the tangles out of his hair. The feared assassin, so on and so forth. Gotta have your priorities straight.

He also (shockingly) really wants to help with the puzzles, but he's used to engage problems head-on and stab/power his way through, and he hasn't really run into any "THIS IS A PUZZLE" signs on his way, shucks. :/

ANYWAY aside from that I don't really have anything planned so! If you'd like to run into him (whether while he's with daddy clown or later when he's by himself), let me know! He should currently be at Residential Zone 3.

It's a HUGE SHAME that we haven't had a real chance to get any kind of CR going in game yet since the test drive thread we did once upon a time was so much fun! Character name and canon: Flynn Carsen | The Librarian

About them: Flynn is a bookworm turned adventurer. Meaning, he's a horribly tropey Indiana Jones knock-off, only he's a total nerd, socially awkward and his job prior to Norfinbury was to find magical artifacts and keep them safe. Basic rundown of his premise: There is a Library, a general sanctum under New York Public Metropolitan, where magical artifacts are stored and kept safe from the world. Flynn is the Librarian (capital L), meaning he is tasked with traveling the world and finding these artifacts, fighting evil cults who try to use them for their Evil Plans and preventing magic from destroying the world. In the frame of his universe he's surprisingly capable at it. In Norfinbury that's a different story altogether.

He's a friendly guy who gets along with a lot of people but he also doesn't really know much about friendship and the real world which sometimes makes him say all the wrong things with good intentions. He makes people cry a lot, it's a problem. He's also been slowly collecting issues that he doesn't work through and for some reason has started collecting the issues of other people as well you never call him when you're sober peter


Current plans: Flynn is currently traveling with Nicole and Harley whom he promised to help out with the Joker situation. They're in Res 3, so I'm hoping for lots of run-ins and meet-ups with other people to get him into more logs.

I am also open for that to go horribly wrong at some point. :>


Desired CR: More negative CR and high stake fallouts! He's starting to get a lot saltier about everything and is developing a bit of an attitude. Also, his most horrible experiences have all been fake memory stuff but I'd love to add some "real" experiences to that.

Not looking for: Can't think of anything, really. I'd prefer for things not to get too gruesome or graphic with him but everything can be discussed, really.

Skilled with most military and combat-related things. Pretty depressed and antisocial from being in Norfinbury since day 1. He will pretty much do anything for you upon request if you're English.
Current plans: With Ginger and America, as always. Recently met up with Will, Hannibal, and House. Currently, England and America are trying to make some of the buildings in residential zone 3 a bit more habitable and capable of holding supply stocks.
Desired CR: Really I am just trying to get England out there a little more since he's been in a rut. I'd love to catch up with his citizens and make new pals!

About them: Sarcastic asshole, genius doctor, complete troll. House is a grumpy addict with an acerbic wit and a tendency to screw with people wherever he can. He's also intensely depressed and makes bad life choices about who to antagonize and what to do as a result, even while he pretends he's TOTALLY FINE most of the time. Those six murders and ten total deaths mean nothing. He's actually making an effort not to get murdered again... or die, in general. Although answers are still more important than avoiding death when there's a revival mechanism.

(As a note for those new and familiar with the show. House used to have a limp, but this was cured after his first Norfinbury death. He no longer needs a cane.)

Current plans: House is enlisting Will, Hannibal, and Beckett to conduct Operation: Morgue Experiment 13.0, Redux. Basically, he's heading for the power plant where they'll be picking up one of the heavy-duty heat suits. Once they have that, they'll be heading for the hospital morgue where they are going to coat the suit with sprayed on rubble dust, inside and out, and use it to try to survive the morgue anomaly and get through to the NIMA controls behind the morgue lockers. House is expecting that he will be the one conducting the experiment, but Will and Beckett will be colluding to knock him and Hannibal out so that Will can do it.

This is going to upset House. A lot.

Desired CR: Any and all! House is very easy to get negative CR with. He's very plot-oriented, as well, though, and that's an easy way to gain neutral or even positive CR with him, if it is so desired.

Not looking for: Not looking for House to get pulled off track on this experiment or killed during the trek to complete it just because it IS going to be a bear of a thing moving the heat suit.

About them: Former vampire archaeologist, now last of his kind actual apocalypse survivor, made of snark, no longer relevant lore, and existential issues. Beckett is an avowed contrarian, generally unsympathetic and more than occasionally an active ass, but has been making efforts to be Kinder and Gentler as part of his search for God Inside Him or something. He's now coming to regret those efforts and the whole acquiring friends thing as he's feeling held back in his AnswerQuest. Other interests include faith and religion, all the food he missed out on having been undead since the early 18th century, and insisting that Norbfinbury is Totally Magic You Guys Just You Wait and See.

Current plans: Has just come to the breaking point re: having friends vs taking any risks necessary to get the fuck out of Norfinbury, leaving all said friends behind to hook up with House, Will, and Hannibal for another round of ill-advised morgue experiments. We'll see how he gets out of that one. Got a fresh mania status effect that makes him both more energetic and more callous, so absolutely up for any other terrible ideas anyone might offer his way. He's also now known as That Asshole from Star-Lord's obituary so, you know, reputation!

Desired CR: Looking for new CR opportunities! Love his current close CR to bits don't get me wrong but would love to find new aspects to get out of him as he progresses along his sort-of-redemption?-arc. Would love more negative CR, to discuss humanity and perspectives on immortality and detachments, and for opportunities for weird adventure-y shenanigans. Pls more weird adventure-y shenanigans.

Character name and canon: Peter Quill, Star-Lord, Sunpaw

About them: Peter Jason Quill is the half-human, half-planet equivalent of a golden retriever puppy. He's a fairly excitable person, extremely loyal, slightly immoral but his heart's in the right place, and in the end, just wants to do a good job at whatever it is he's doing, whether that's stealing something, yelling at House, giving music to people in need, or saving the universe. He's got a hero complex but he's also willing to do whatever's necessary to get the job done, he's got a criminal record of fairly minor things compared to his murdery friends, but is has no problem taking someone out in self defense or for the greater good. He does best in groups and is always on the lookout for more friends to make.

Currently Peter's had A Time. From accidentally getting himself killed and subsequently Upsetting all his friends, to Rocket's death, coupled on top of all his adventures in Imaginary Time being a JerkCelestial to all the grand experiences of doom that Decoherence has to offer. He blames himself for nearly getting Gamora killed and for what happened to Rocket, and Bluestar's initial criticism of his behavior and offer to help him improve has basically resulted in him becoming a cat. Because everybody wants to be a cat. Bluestar offered him something he sorely needed--or thought he needed--direction and structure, and became a voice of reason for him, and affection as well. Peter's come to see her as some sort of mother-figure, especially since his naming ceremony took place in a hospital room and he saw that as Blue continuing on what he's lost as a kid. Peter's gone all-in on Blue's Clan Plans, he does have misgivings but they're buried under the assumption that Mother Knows Best coupled with his loyalty to her. After losing Yondu and his real mom he's not going to take any chances with this fake one. Putting Blue in that place is also very dangerous for him, seeing her in that light will cause him to defend her fiercely even if she starts being very wrong...Peter's going to deny that, of course, even to the detriment of his friends who are only trying to help so sorry Gamora and Stephen and Flynn and will only double-down until everything explodes in his face.

Current plans: Establishing SnowClan, trying to get new cats both figurative and literal in SnowClan, defending Blue's honor on the network, calling Flynn when he's upset because it probably was House's fault, the usual.

Peter also has Paranoia 3 so he's certain everyone is trying to plot against Blue and SnowClan.



Desired CR:
All the CR, both positive and negative! Peter's an extremely resilient character and even his best friends have tried to kill him so he bounces back pretty quick from thinking negatively about people, so anything and everything would be welcome.

Not looking for: Nothing comes to mind! Open to the best and the worst. Has an Unspoken Thing with Gamora and will be trying not to flirt. Too much.
