TEST DRIVE MEME

If you'd like to apply to Snowblind and would like to test the waters first or get a sample set up for your application, this meme is for you! We've even provided some prompts for you to use if you want (but feel free to make up your own). Here's how it works.
✭ Reply to this entry with a character you're considering apping into the game. You can include the name of your character and the fandom in your subject line.
✭ Comment around to others on the meme, whether you're in the game already or not.
✭ Now you have a sample ready for your application!
✭ So go reserve and apply when reservations and applications are open.
✭ Seriously, do it.

Network Prompts
ONE: IT WON'T BE LONG NOW...
Well, you made a mistake. You spent too long searching around, or you ran outside near the end of the day for just one more thing, and now you've been locked out. You can search around all you want, but the best shelter you can hope for is pressing against the side of a sealed up building. You do still have your tablet, though. Maybe someone on the network can give you some advice, or at least some comfort while you wait for hypothermia to set in.

TWO: CABIN FEVER
Maybe you didn't want that mistake of getting caught outside to happen again, but now you've ended up staying too long in one location, and cabin fever has set in. Maybe you're taking to the network to try and ignore the hallucinations. Maybe you want to tell everyone that you've figured out they're all in on your kidnapping. Maybe you ended up wandering off and now you'd really like to know if anyone can check back in the place you were at for your pants.

Action Prompts
THREE: AN UNEXPECTED MEETING
You're going about your business searching what seems like it might be an especially promising house--it's fully intact and there's even a working fireplace with some wood! It looks like someone else has the same idea, though, and you've run into them in the middle of your search. Do you share the potential wealth or try to kick them out? On the other hand, maybe you know who this is, or maybe you're just glad to actually see another person for the first time in ages.

FOUR: GOOD MORGUE-NING
You've just woken up in a morgue after dying in one unfortunate way or another. You have no idea where you are beyond that, but your tablet is insisting you can't stay here, so you should probably get out of here pretty quickly. Of course, bringing people back from the dead isn't a perfect science, so you're missing something important to you. Maybe you've lost your voice, maybe you can't remember where you're from, maybe you can't remember where you are right now. It looks like someone else is nearby, though. Maybe they can help you out?

[Being technologically impaired is a problem. The tablet he's been granted has been entirely neglected as he scoped the place out. The place, meaning the area rather than any particular building. Nothing at all made sense to him and wandering around has garnered the same results as shitting in his own hand would have.

He's done nothing but create more of an unfortunate situation for himself; his lips have likely paled to a purpley hue and based on the snow he's managed to collect on his clothing and how just about every layer's been affected by it, it's amazing he hasn't been done in by hypothermia. Eventually, he finds a staircase to settle against; it's not very comfortable, but he can't be assed to try the door it leads to after so many disappointments. It's locked. It's definitely locked, and he needs to rest. Using his titan form to bring his temperature back up doesn't sound like such a bad idea, but putting effort into anything but lying down and succumbing to whatever is tedious. Too tedious. He only needs a minute.

If you’re still outside, report in. I’ll meet up with you.

...huh, what. The sure sounded a lot like Levi, but where? He lifts his head enough to check the immediate area of any sign of him, but there's nothing -- no one. Logic dictates that he should check his tablet next, as that thing had been talking to him earlier on, but he wasn't being very attentive to it. It was cool for all of two seconds, but it got stale in a hurry.]

Captain? [Without hitting any buttons; that comes next. His fingers are clumsy and frozen, though the fact that he's literate helps.

...That being said, he's literate. Not tech savvy. The good thing here is that he's just trying to return an audio message, nothing too fancy.]
Captain?! Captain Levi, can you hear me-?

[As excited as he sounds, there's a certain rasp to his voice.]

[ The heavy plod of his boots comes to a halt abruptly at the sound of that voice. Captain. Levi’s eyes slide shut, a pained tension freezing facial muscles, because he detects the telling rasp behind Eren’s words, hears the background noise of wind breaking against buildings. Eren is outside. Of course he is. Eyes snapping open, he picks up the pace in the direction of town. ]

You little shit. [ There’s no real heat to it; the cold has sapped him of his anger. ] What do you think you’re doing outside? You never make it easy for yourself.

[Eren's a bit like a lost puppy, as it were. The only good thing about this was that he'd been able to register himself with the device...which is probably bad in the end. All things considered. Like his current situation. He wasn't warned about anything like this! But that being said, he likely wouldn't have listened to an unfamiliar (distinctly robotic, if he knew what that even meant) voice telling him about curfews and the like.]

I was trying to figure out where I was, sir.

[It's an honest answer, fickle only because of the cold biting away at him. He draws his cloak around himself like a cocoon, which is precisely the worst thing he could do.]

But I -- still don't know anything.

[And he angles his body against a brick(?) wall, one lining an edge of the stairs. It's suitable enough for a nap...exciting as it is that he's managed to get through to Levi.]

sorry for the late response! i was out of state for a bit

[ There’s a sharp sense of understanding, at least in this regard. After all, the Survey Corps have never been much for idleness in the face of the unknown. Still, he would have expected more disciplined caution. Eren should know better by now. ]

Listen up, then. I’ll brief you on the situation.

[ Levi is wary of speaking for too long at a time, however; it’s critical that Eren participates in the conversation, that he doesn’t lose consciousness. Their fate may be inevitable, yes, but Levi will not allow the boy to suffer this particular hardship on his own. ]

We’re well beyond the Walls, in unexplored territory. So far, no Titans have been sighted.

that's okay!! i took forever too...

[Listening is something he can do. On the other hand, if Levi asked him to chop wood or provide some sort of massage at a very specific location, he would be unable to apply due to frozen fingers -- frozen limbs, really. There's hum of a sound, as if to affirm that he's listening (though it probably isn't necessary), and a short silence follows that curt explanation. What were they doing in unexplored territory, and why was he unable to recall the drastic weather change...and why did this all begin for him under circumstances that made even less sense? Between waking up in an unfamiliar house and having to argue with some weird device...]

Is that all?

[Rather than sounding unimpressed or even skeptical, he's dying to hear more about...all of this. It may very well be the last story he ever hears, may as well make it thorough. Honestly, it's difficult to gauge just how he's feeling -- probably. He's just weak, overall.]
