Network Prompts
ONE: IT WON'T BE LONG NOW... Well, you made a mistake. You spent too long searching around, or you ran outside near the end of the day for just one more thing, and now you've been locked out. You can search around all you want, but the best shelter you can hope for is pressing against the side of a sealed up building. You do still have your tablet, though. Maybe someone on the network can give you some advice, or at least some comfort while you wait for hypothermia to set in.
TWO: CABIN FEVER Maybe you didn't want that mistake of getting caught outside to happen again, but now you've ended up staying too long in one location, and cabin fever has set in. Maybe you're taking to the network to try and ignore the hallucinations. Maybe you want to tell everyone that you've figured out they're all in on your kidnapping. Maybe you ended up wandering off and now you'd really like to know if anyone can check back in the place you were at for your pants.
Action Prompts
THREE: AN UNEXPECTED MEETING You're going about your business searching what seems like it might be an especially promising house--it's fully intact and there's even a working fireplace with some wood! It looks like someone else has the same idea, though, and you've run into them in the middle of your search. Do you share the potential wealth or try to kick them out? On the other hand, maybe you know who this is, or maybe you're just glad to actually see another person for the first time in ages.
FOUR: GOOD MORGUE-NING You've just woken up in a morgue after dying in one unfortunate way or another. You have no idea where you are beyond that, but your tablet is insisting you can't stay here, so you should probably get out of here pretty quickly. Of course, bringing people back from the dead isn't a perfect science, so you're missing something important to you. Maybe you've lost your voice, maybe you can't remember where you're from, maybe you can't remember where you are right now. It looks like someone else is nearby, though. Maybe they can help you out?
I'm lucky then, I guess. There's no wind here. Just cold. [ The darkness of the street laid out before her was oddly serene, the snow gently falling without cease. In a way, she almost wished she had tried to leave town and gone out that way; at least in that case she'd have been working towards something. Here, she was literally just sitting and waiting to die against the backdrop of a provincial ghost town, covered in snow.
The patio provided Touka with enough cover to keep her from getting buried, but she half-wondered if she should just sit out in the street proper. The end could come sooner that way. ]
But you came back, right? [ Her voice had lost its waver now, replaced with a dull tone of resignation. Her bones practically shuddered with the cold as it settled into her like an evil spirit, numbing her muscles and making her feel sluggish in spite of her not moving. ] And are you any different for it having happened to you?
[ Part of her wants to thank him for sparing her the loneliness, but she's too proud for that. ]
[ That... makes him hesitate. There had been something different when he had first woken up... but it had been a familiar different. The familiar loss of emotion and memory that has been the backdrop of his entire life. He grimaces without realizing and rubs at the back of his neck for a moment. ]
You'll feel weird when you first wake up. [ Other people have described other effects, so he doesn't really want to try to guess which one will hook its claws into her for those first few hours. But he does want to reassure her, ] But it'll go away.
[ Which maybe isn't really what she was entirely wanting to know, but it's what he feels comfortable replying to. On the deeper level of who he is... wouldn't he have needed a self for that. It makes him feel bitter. ]
[ She notices the grimace but says nothing, even as dread begins to hollow out the pit of her gut all over again. The subtle change in his expression is enough to clue her in on what's to come, and though her fate is unavoidable, something inside of Touka sparks. Maybe she didn't have to die. Maybe if she just kept moving, she could last the night.
It's pointless, but it's better than just sitting around and doing nothing. Nobody had survived the night thus far, but that didn't mean that they positively couldn't, right?
Maybe it was a naive thought, but it was enough to get her to push herself into a standing position with a grunt. The world seemed to tilt as she did so, and she nearly fell forward with the sudden motion. ]
W-W-Weird-- [ She manages to choke out the word, teeth chattering uncontrollably. ] In... In what sense?
[ Her breath came in short puffs, dancing in the air before dissipating. It was almost like her own body was taunting her, telling her to give it up; it's not like this stupid plan of hers was going to work. Still. She took a few steps forward out into the street, keeping her tablet held in front of her.
I'D BE A-OK IN DROPPING THIS ONE! I'd love for Touka and Roxas to meet up in game sometime soon though! Thanks for threading with me!! I really enjoyed their dynamic :D

So long as she kept moving... ]
