Network Prompts
ONE: IT WON'T BE LONG NOW... Well, you made a mistake. You spent too long searching around, or you ran outside near the end of the day for just one more thing, and now you've been locked out. You can search around all you want, but the best shelter you can hope for is pressing against the side of a sealed up building. You do still have your tablet, though. Maybe someone on the network can give you some advice, or at least some comfort while you wait for hypothermia to set in.
TWO: CABIN FEVER Maybe you didn't want that mistake of getting caught outside to happen again, but now you've ended up staying too long in one location, and cabin fever has set in. Maybe you're taking to the network to try and ignore the hallucinations. Maybe you want to tell everyone that you've figured out they're all in on your kidnapping. Maybe you ended up wandering off and now you'd really like to know if anyone can check back in the place you were at for your pants.
Action Prompts
THREE: AN UNEXPECTED MEETING You're going about your business searching what seems like it might be an especially promising house--it's fully intact and there's even a working fireplace with some wood! It looks like someone else has the same idea, though, and you've run into them in the middle of your search. Do you share the potential wealth or try to kick them out? On the other hand, maybe you know who this is, or maybe you're just glad to actually see another person for the first time in ages.
FOUR: GOOD MORGUE-NING You've just woken up in a morgue after dying in one unfortunate way or another. You have no idea where you are beyond that, but your tablet is insisting you can't stay here, so you should probably get out of here pretty quickly. Of course, bringing people back from the dead isn't a perfect science, so you're missing something important to you. Maybe you've lost your voice, maybe you can't remember where you're from, maybe you can't remember where you are right now. It looks like someone else is nearby, though. Maybe they can help you out?
[At first, Roy didn't know what to expect. The loud warnings coming from the tablet were a familiar sound, but they did little to ease the tension about who might be approaching.
But when he sees the armor burst through the doorway, Roy's hand lowers slightly in surprise. He had been so preoccupied with the fact that the Lieutenant or his own subordinates weren't here, that the thought of meeting someone else from home briefly slipped his mind.]
Alphonse?
[He stares at him for a good four seconds in disbelief before he snaps out of it and raises his hand once more. In a place like this, it was best to be safe rather than sorry. When he speaks again, his tone is a little colder.]
When we were underground, we encountered a hostile woman. Tell me, what exactly did you tell my subordinate while you were protecting them?
[His hands snap up into a gesture of surrender when Mustang raises his hand again, half convinced he's going to have to dodge out of the way of some impressive flames.
Though if Mustang does manage to use his flame alchemy, Al will definitely be picking his brains on how he's circumnavigated the ban on powers this place seems to impose on everyone.]
It's me, I-- uh--
[Geez, does Mustang never trust anyone? He is ready to trust this is actually the Colonel, but he supposes he can see the logic in checking. His mind races, but the scene is easy to see in his head. Standing in front of her, angry at more death, angry at the continued violence.]
--I said I wasn't going to let anyone else die, not when I could protect them. So many people had died already and I wasn't about to leave Lieutenant Hawkeye behind to save myself.
[Maybe not the exact words, but the sentiment at least.]
[Roy doesn't move, doesn't break eye contact while Alphonse speaks. Even after he answers the question, there's at least five seconds before he finally lowers his arm, content with the answer.]
My apologies.
[He sighs, his shoulders relaxing as he looks him up and down briefly to determine his state.]
[There's some small relief when Mustang lowers his arm. Usually he might not have to be worried about the flames, but here in Norfinbury he was less durable than he was back in Amestris.]
Mm.
[Now that the imminent threat is over, he moves more completely into the house and takes a seat on the floor.]
I thought I wasn't going to make it tonight, I didn't expect to see you in here... or at all, how long have you been here? In Norfinbury, I mean.
[He sighs, crossing his arms over his chest as he glances around the cabin.]
Though, judging by your reactions, it seems you're a little more adjusted here. [However strange that idea might be.] Tell me, what exactly do you know of this place?
Not a whole lot, we're still struggling in the dark even though we've been here for months now.
[Does he sound frustrated? Because he is.]
We know that this town is called Norfinbury and that it's located in a place called Alaska, a few people here have said that's in a country called America.
[Not that this helps for the Amestris crew.]
I think we must have been pulled here through a Gate by an alchemist using a stone, there's a lot of evidence of philosopher's stones here.
