Network Prompts
ONE: IT WON'T BE LONG NOW... Well, you made a mistake. You spent too long searching around, or you ran outside near the end of the day for just one more thing, and now you've been locked out. You can search around all you want, but the best shelter you can hope for is pressing against the side of a sealed up building. You do still have your tablet, though. Maybe someone on the network can give you some advice, or at least some comfort while you wait for hypothermia to set in.
TWO: CABIN FEVER Maybe you didn't want that mistake of getting caught outside to happen again, but now you've ended up staying too long in one location, and cabin fever has set in. Maybe you're taking to the network to try and ignore the hallucinations. Maybe you want to tell everyone that you've figured out they're all in on your kidnapping. Maybe you ended up wandering off and now you'd really like to know if anyone can check back in the place you were at for your pants.
Action Prompts
THREE: AN UNEXPECTED MEETING You're going about your business searching what seems like it might be an especially promising house--it's fully intact and there's even a working fireplace with some wood! It looks like someone else has the same idea, though, and you've run into them in the middle of your search. Do you share the potential wealth or try to kick them out? On the other hand, maybe you know who this is, or maybe you're just glad to actually see another person for the first time in ages.
FOUR: GOOD MORGUE-NING You've just woken up in a morgue after dying in one unfortunate way or another. You have no idea where you are beyond that, but your tablet is insisting you can't stay here, so you should probably get out of here pretty quickly. Of course, bringing people back from the dead isn't a perfect science, so you're missing something important to you. Maybe you've lost your voice, maybe you can't remember where you're from, maybe you can't remember where you are right now. It looks like someone else is nearby, though. Maybe they can help you out?
Steve smiles a little. "Very practical," he agrees.
He arranges the coat so it's more-or-less draped over their shoulders; it's a bit of a squeeze.
Steve watches the fire, but sneaks glances at Kori out of the corner of his eye. "So, uh. Tamaran. What's that like? I'm afraid I've never heard of it. You seem familiar with Earth, though? I mean. You're speaking English, and you didn't seem shocked by my pasty, not-orange appearance, so." He smirks faintly.
Steve's busy trying to figure out if she intentionally avoided talking about Tamaran, and if it's a sore subject, so he speaks without thinking about it very hard.
Steve doesn't really cotton on to what is happening until Kori leans in close (and getting closer); he has the presence of mind to say, "UM," before freezing up entirely, and before he knows it he's locking lips with a gorgeous orange space princess.
Why does this keep happening to me?! he wonders, and the traitorous side of his brain goes, somebody upstairs must like you, pal~.. Steve's hands hover in the air before settling gently on Kori's shoulders; whether to push her gently away or pull her closer, he's not entirely sure yet.
Incidentally, the time it takes Steve to start questioning his sexual philosophy is about the time it takes Kori to assimilate a language, and she releases him. Then, in passable French and with a very self--satisfied look on her face, she says, "That was very pleasant."
Steve gingerly releases her shoulders, staring at her and trying to figure out what the heck just happened. "Je vous en prie*," he says faintly.
OK, she... she wanted to learn French, that's all. By kissing him. Maybe this was normal on Tamaran, maybe folks just walked around kissing people and learning languages. Aliens were bound to have weird cultural... things. Jane had told him all about Thor's mug-smashing incident. Don't make a big deal out of it, Rogers, she's a princess, you'll cause an interplanetary incident.
Steve clears his throat and absently pulls the coat, which had fallen down to their waists, back up to his shoulders, his gaze cutting back over to the fire. "So, uh. That seems like a useful ability. To be able to learn new languages so. Easily."
Kori snuggles back under the coat herself, enjoying the lingering warmth of the kiss. She wanted to learn French, yes, but she also wanted to kiss the beautiful man.
"It is very useful. I was able to procure a job with it, by learning the language of the creatures you call dolphins." Enjoy that image, Steve.
It takes a second for that to sink in, then Steve makes a strange sort of hiccuping noise as he squashes the hysterical giggle that tries to rise up out of his throat.
Steve rubs at his jaw, then cuts a sidelong glance at Kori. "I hope I was a better kisser than the dolphin."
He clears his throat. "You can speak dolphin, though? That's pretty keen. What do they call themselves?"
Steve grins a little, lopsided, which is stupid because 'kisses better than a dolphin' is hardly high praise, and if we're honest he barely participated in the actual kissing, but hey, a pretty lady kissed him and didn't seem to hate the experience, he'll take what he can get.
He jumps a little when she makes the dolphin noise, unprepared for how loud it is. "Wow, that's pretty good. I don't think my vocal chords can even make that noise."
"...So, uh, how long have you been on Earth? It sounds like you're sticking around for a bit, if you bothered to get a job?"
She's delighted that she can make him smile, even if it is an odd sort of smile. She tends to have that effect on humans. It's a good effect, she thinks.
"I believe it has been three years. I spent a good deal of the time alone. I do not wish to be alone anymore, so I sought out help from the Sheriff of Key West. She has been very helpful, and a good friend."
"Gosh, Key West. I've never been, but I'd like to. How do you like it?"
Between the fire and the body heat, Steve's actually starting to feel warm. It's a heck of a nice feeling. He digs in his pack for some rations, holding one of the packets out to Kori with his eyebrows raised questioningly.
"It is a very interesting place, with a variety of humans and other life. It is a wonderful place to be strange."
And she is strange, so notably different from humans that it's attracted both positive and negative attention, results both good and bad. Here and now is a little strange, too, but at least they are warm and happy.
He pulls out another one for himself, taking a big bite and sighing deeply. "Never thought I'd have to eat this junk again," he mutters, mostly to himself.
He's not really sure what else to say, but the silence is comfortable enough for now, so he simply enjoys being warm and in the company of another person while he chews on the not-great-but-not-terrible-really rations.

"I would love to share your coat," she agrees wholeheartedly. "As I said, we should share body heat to maximize warmth."

"I am able to assimilate languages through mouth-to-mouth contact. Do you know any languages besides English?"
She would like to learn them, and also distract him from the topic of Tamaran. She misses her home dearly.

"I can speak French."
no subject
"May I?" She turns to kiss him full on the mouth.
Ahahaha I do love me some Kori XD

"You were much better than the dolphin. The-" She makes a sound exactly like a dolphin, short and sharp.

Kori hasn't seemed to notice the proffered ration, so Steve waggles it a little to catch her attention.

"Thank you."
