Network Prompts
ONE: A LONG WALK HOME You wake up at 6AM when lockdown ends, cold and tired, like you've been walking miles in the snow. But that's normal, isn't it? What isn't normal is your surroundings. You're in a new building, maybe one you've never seen before, or one you know is far, far away from where you were the night before when you fell asleep. If you were traveling with someone, you notice, also, that you are alone. There's no telling where your traveling companion could be.
When you check the network, you notice that @ADMIN has left a message.
Surveillance encountered an error shortly after 8PM last night and was out of order until shortly after 6AM. We apologize for any inconvenience.
Whether or not you're confused or concerned about the message, maybe a post to the network will help you re-orient yourself.
TWO: GOING ONCE, GOING TWICE... Seems you've found a rather valuable commodity. Something like alcohol, tea, coffee, cigarettes, or perhaps even something medical. Whatever you've found, you have no real interest in it, yourself. But you know that there's a market for it, and you see the opportunity to turn this into a win-win situation. You're not physically around anyone that you know of, so you propose a network-wide trade. And whoever makes the sweetest deal can be the proud owner of their craved luxury.
Action Prompts
THREE: A SYMPHONY OF SOUND You and your traveling companion thought that the house you decided to stop in for the night seemed normal enough. But lockdown hits, as it does every night, and things start to get strange. Soft sounds of crying; children crying, parents crying, screaming for their own safety. Maybe it's just the sound of the wind rushing so hard through the rubble you fear the ceiling will collapse. Maybe it's your own voice whispering to you to do awful things. Whatever the noise is, it's too much for you to fall asleep, coming to eerie crescendos and ebbing in volume at entirely irregular intervals. Looks like you and whoever you're with are in for a long night.
FOUR: IN DUE TIME After a grueling day of travel, you and your companion finally come across safe shelter. And it seems to be a nice house, too, with a working fireplace and everything. The only strange part is that you aren't alone--but the other people in the house don't seem to be aware of you. In fact, they don't seem to be aware of anything; they're frozen in time, unmoving, unblinking, not even breathing. They can be touched, but they can't be moved. No matter how hard you try, they're rooted to the spot. They seem to be like you, weighed down with heavy winter wear and backpacks, not like the nondescript shadowy people that wander the town.
Oh well. They're probably harmless, and it isn't like you have time to find a different place to stay.

RUDE DON'T COMPARE THEM GAWD
His stomach churns more with each step he takes but Sora refuses to stop, moving from one window to the next, making sure their secure. It's on his next pass by Zack that he hears the gasped out words and his heart momentarily races.
What if there was a back door?
That spurs him to move a bit faster and the young man heads for the back end of the cabin, relieved to find that there wasn't a back door. Just more windows. Windows that he's quick to block before he takes a moment to just slump against one of them, a hand going to his forehead.
This..was worse than any battle with the heartless.]
TOO LATE I JUST DID
Hopefully.
Either way, Sora's taking care of things. Which... speaking of taking care of things, he ought to do something about the door now, so he can actually follow to help. There's a chair not far from reach... It's a struggle to nab it without letting up on the door, but he eventually does hook it with a foot and bring it over his way. With a short jolt of renewed energy, he jams it sideways, anchoring it between knob and floor to hold for now.
Then he's... swaying sickly to his feet, taking a few quick swallows and trying to calm himself before he snags an end table next, dropping it in front of the door, too. Sora can probably hear the thugs and clatters of that moving furniture if he listens hard enough. ]
SOBS FOREVER
It takes Sora another moment to get his bearings before he's forcing himself to start the trek back to the front of the cabin, a hand bracing him against the wall the entire time he goes.
By the time he reaches Zack again he's pulled himself together a bit more, wiping his mouth against the back of his gloved hand.]
There's--there wasn't a back door. I think we're okay. [For now.]

He probably doesn't look much better than the former keybearer though. Still stubborn as hell though. Enough to crack a weak smile when Sora's back in his sights and giving him the all clear. ] Go-Good. [ He reaches up to pinch the bridge of his nose then, to stave off the nausea for just a bit longer. ] Time? [ There's a nod towards his tablet still strewn across the floor where he last left it. He's not about to remove himself from the door again. Not when he can still feel it jar. ]

His expression crumples into something full of worry as he starts to take a step towards the other.]
Are you alright?
[It was a dumb question. Of course he wasn't alright. He looked like crap. Probably felt like crap too, just like Sora. But he couldn't help but ask because if anything it would reassure him that Zack wasn't about to drop on him or something.
He manages to tear his gaze away to look towards the tablet, swaying on his feet before he walks over to it. The device is scooped up and Sora peers down at it for a moment before he closes his eyes, taking a breath.]
I can't see straight.

The hand that had been holding his nose slides down to hold his stomach instead now. To try and quell his upset gut while he watches Sora go for his tablet. That answer, well... tells just as much how Sora's doing at this point and Zack grimaces, mind abuzz and wondering how much time had passed. How much longer they would have to wait. Hell, he hopes it's not that long now...
Maybe that click as the door seal's more than answer enough. Enough to get Zack drawing out a slow sigh of relief as he.. finally starts to edge off from the door and onto his-
oh hell.
Sorry, Sora. You are now the audience of the grotesque scene of Zack losing his own lunch. ]

It's a good thing he doesn't, though, because Zack falls apart as soon as the other tries to move away from the door and Sora can't help but wince. He glances away for a moment, feeling his own stomach lurch again as he tries to ignore the sound of it and oh god he's going to be sick again.
He doesn't get sick, though, and swallows down the bile rising in his throat so he can slowly make his way over to the older man. A shaking hand rests on his shoulder as Sora looks him over worried, wishing he still had his pack and the water bottle that had been inside it.]
Want to sit down?

[ You know. Preferably a room that doesn't smell rancid from-
That's all the answer the kid gets before he finally rises back to his full height, hand slipping away. He staggers only a little bit before he catches his balance. Then he retrieves his pack and tablet before giving Sora a soft hair ruffle. Zack steps off at a hobbling pace towards the next doorway, holding the light up into the next room and a smile coming across his face at a new discovery. ] Looks like we're not gonna freeze too much tonight.
[ LO AND BEHOLD, A FIREPLACE. ]
