[ He wrinkles his nose at her, but it's playful. It's easy to remember how to act with her. ]

Being king of the elves. [ He says that so dryly. ] Not all it's cracked up to be. And I assume you're doing fine for yourself, considering how you look.

[ He smiles a little, though, at the roomcleany thing. Smiles and then quickly frowns. ]

A-anyway, there's a difference between. Daughter cleaning her room and cleaning up the room your daughter died in.

[Rhys is getting stared at. A lot.

Some people are subtle about it - they give him frequent, furtive glances, but try not to make eye contact. Others don't bother with that, opting instead to gape open-mouthed. But when he says Alfie's name, one man (dressed in a hat and a long black coat) pipes up.]

[Alfie Solomons isn't the only Alfie in Camden Town, but they're close enough to the bakery that it's not hard to guess who he's looking for.]

[GOD, YOU PEOPLE. He's going to hold this flame thrower in his hands, with the barrel pointing away from them.]

[ Angel is floating in front of the face of one of the larger statues with her nose wrinkled. So embarrassing. ]

This place is even tackier up close, holy heck.

Mmmmhmmm. Steer clear of the glass, there could still be raw eridium dried on there.

[ Which probably wouldn't do any more damage than handling a bar of the refined stuff, honestly, but shush. Rhys could cut himself on the glass and get it in his bloodstream and LET HER FUSS IT'S A GOOD DISTRACTION.

She ducks under a loose wire, and is picking her way around a particularly bullet-riddled loader when she pauses. At least one thing has to have been cleared away. Right? ]

And most injuries are pretty easily treated. That's what that machine is for.

[ She points out the machine in question, then has the grace to look vaguely sheepish. Um. ]

They - those ones also sell shields. I should... probably grab some of those too, huh.

[Rhys, Alfie hates you.

Okay, not really, but still. He's coughing from the smoke, and while he's in one piece, his leg is trapped under a piece of wreckage - something log, heavy, and metallic.]

Rhys! You've got extra strength in that arm of yours, yeah?

[He hates you.]

[Why has that possibility not been offered up yet, Angel?]

I guess we could. If you don't care about seeing real live skags.

[ And who doesn't want to see the horrifying hellbeast puppies? GOSH. Angel looks put out for a moment before letting out a soft oh and clapping her hands. ]

But! If we do leave, we could - instead of using the fast travel station, we could use the Catch-a-Ride and get a vehicle! That'd be fun, right? I hacked myself access a long time ago, so it wouldn't even cause any fuss!

[devoutish]

[Ugh, Angel, he is too old for this shit. He likes his danger to come in the form of psychological games and manipulative trickery. Kids these days, with their gigantic guns and dangerous planets and horrifying monsters.

But okay, he's curious.]

Catch-a-Ride; show me that. Is that a taxi service?

[He's going to hang onto this flame thrower even if they leave, though. It's awesome.]

[ The shouting thing, that is really not helping with the staring. He quiets down, suddenly a little more self aware. ]

His office is down by the canal. Big warehouse, you can't miss it.

[The man is younger, but his accent is similar to Alfie's - Cockney London, through and through. He looks at Rhys, openly curious.]

Heck, no. Would you be willing to drive crazy people around Pandora for a living? The Catch-a-Ride system is a - mmmm. Call it a vehicle delivery service?

[ Now is. Probably not the time to explain how digistructing works. She makes her way over to the Catch-a-Ride and begins tapping away at the interface. ]

What's your favourite colour? And - erm, stay off the big metal plate on the ground there. It's kinda dangerous.

[ 'Steer clear of glass' is common sense even without toxic chemicals involved in the equation. Sorry, Angel, but he rolls his eyes at the fussing.

[ She might know Jack better than most people, but she's never exactly had to wonder where he'd put the corpse of his beloved catalyst-slash-daughter before. HALP. WHAT IF HE HAD HER LAMINATED AND PROPPED UP OUTSIDE THE DOORS. RHYS DID HE DO THAT IS THAT A THING ]

[He eyes the plate, doing as she asks.]

The statues are a little much, but heyyyyy, I've always liked his office. The design choices.

[ The little girl in the picture is staring at him. He makes sure Angel isn't looking before flipping it facedown. ]

[ Yes, arm. New arm. Arm he built (and maybe installed??) himself. Rhys slides to his knees and tries to raise the debris pinning Alfie down. Even with the bonus robostrength, Alfie is going to have to wiggle free. ]

[HE CAN'T DO QUICK RIGHT NOW, RHYS; QUICK IS HARD. But he manages to pull himself out, groaning in pain and effort. Hopefully he's fast enough.]

[ Rat-a-tat-tat -- yep, they're now being shot at. Luckily, the bandits are both faraway and seem to have learned marksmanship via the Stormtrooper Academy.
