About them: Rhys is pretty easygoing and easy to get along with, if you can put up with his wry sense of humor and sharp observation. At this point in his canon, he's been through a lot, having just gotten out of prison for arson, but he's mostly a really lonely guy who fucked up a lot of his life, and is trying to make it better but doesn't quite know how. He is by nature a healer, having trained for many years to use his supernatural abilities for positive things, and the fact that those abilities happen to come from the fact that he's half-incubus, well, that's just a thing that he pretends isn't a big deal. Peoples' life energy really aren't that delicious and he's been on the wagon for a while now, okay?
Current plans: Current plan is to get his shit together enough to survive more than a day, then he'll take it from there. :) I would like to see him get his feet under him solidly enough to provide a good support role for folks and put his medical abilities to good use, but he's got a good head on his shoulders and willing to throw in pretty much wherever he's needed, so he'll go with the flow as he settles in!
Desired CR: All the CR, basically. Rhys is trying to get his life back on track after three years of screwing up, and he's going to need all the help he can get. Friends, mentors, enemies, significant others, people he can't stand that make him want to be better out of spite...everything.
Not looking for: Nothing in particular, though Rhys is trying to climb out of a hole, and I think I would like to focus on that, rather than finding him a new one to climb into. He's had a tough time and he deserves some victories. Even in a place like this.

Hi!!! I'm Flurry and I play Royce, who is a character from an obscure book series called Riyria - he's not super the type to do arrival posts because he's kind of a butthole, but I'm really super interested in CR with Rhys! I think he sounds pretty neat.

I think both him and Royce might have a similar sense of humor and could be fun to bounce off each other, so I'm thinking about how they can meet. Whereabouts is Rhys at the moment? Maybe they can crash at the same house one night or something c:

Hey, that is totally okay. Rhys is getting his bearings and has gotten plenty of help with his arrival, so he'll be processing things for a bit, and then set off to do some exploring.

I would totally love for him to have some company in person and not just on the network, and he can totally cope with buttholes, so I would be all for these two running into each other! Right now Rhys is in Z1, up in the NW corner of the residential map, and will probably be taking it slow for a bit until he gets a better destination and more supplies. This will also be to give me a chance to get the hang of the whole search and movement thing...

Ahhhh, that's actually pretty close! Royce is in W5-ish right now - he's going to go to the chapel to pick up his buddy Alfie from the dead pretty soon but then he'll probably stick around the area, so they should definitely cross paths!

the searches and movements thing gets easier as you go, too. don't hesitate to ask on plurk if you need help figuring it all out! I'll let you get settled a bit and we can see what the event ends up being, and then figure out a way to get them in the same house.

That sounds like an excellent plan. :) And luckily I know at least some gridwork from my tabletop-gaming experience so I'm not completely clueless, it will just take a little time to get it recorded into my brain.

I'm pretty sure getting them into the same house won't be hard in the long run, I expect at least some of Rhys's next actions will simply be roaming the houses in the immediate vicinity looking for clothes and equipment. Right now, all he's got is his coat, a handful of random knickknacks in his pockets, and his rations, so looking for at least a few more things to bundle up with is a high priority.

Schweet! Royce has some stuff he'd probably be willing to part with, depending on how they get along. He's been here forever, he's got like eight pairs of socks. I'll get a hold of you on plurk once I've got all my movements/plans settled.

Doooorian! Hiii. We definitely need to work something out for soon, though yeah, lol, I got a *lot* of responses, wow. Rhys is going to be spending his first few days here just getting to know people, wandering around, and trying to collect a few supplies, so I think if Dorian doesn't introduce him right away, then a chat after Rhys has had a little bit to settle would be just fine, too, or if they run into each other. But I definitely want things with you!
