About them: Tragic vampire jerk. Used to be an archaeologist and historian looking for the origins of his kind, then the apocalypse happened and he was informed that There Are No Answers and a profound existential crisis ensued. Has officially hit bottom with that a little while ago and been getting steadily better somehow, which means being easier with people but also a lot more dedicated an single-minded in his AnswersQuest. Other interests include food, religion, and blood. Blooooooooooooood.

Current plans: OH BOY. Recently revived in the hospital morgue with a status effect that's nullified his empathy so for the next IC week will be an asshole treating mortals as mobile blood bags. FUN TIMES. Heading back east with a mind to reach the Radiation Zone, will likely leave a bloody trail in his wake. Blooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood.

Desired CR: GETCHER NEGATIVE CR HERE he's been way too nice for way too long, though reduced fucks-giving almost means his playful, carelessly adventurous side gets played up a bit so there may be hilarity potential. In the longer run, still exploring issues of faith and purpose, now with less angst and more open curiosity, and I love anyone who can get adventurous shenanigans out of him even when his fucks come back!

HMMM I'm trying to think of a reason for Beckett to contact Quark in PM and maybe bully him for info like a huge jerk... how public is knowledge of Quark's hackquest during Death Night?

Pretty dang public! They were talking about it pretty openly on the shadownet after the fact. I think the words "quark" and "hacking" came up together more than once.

In terms of potential positive CR some day...

What about adventurous shenanigans with a tiny ex-special forces space smuggler with a kind smile who is actually a thirteen billion year old light being created to operate human consciousness and one day destroy the universe?

You had me at one day destroy the universe! Though if working with positive CR it's perhaps better if chaos doesn't meet him in jerkpire mode?

Also YASSS where is the Joker, perhaps we should arrange for who I think are Norfinbury's two most violent jerks at the moment to have a showdown.

I think Joker is about to die again. He derped and accidentally locked himself in a building with an anomaly.

As for chaos, he probably would not hold Beckett's jerkpire mode against him. He knows people suffer from post-death penalties. He's more likely to notice Beckett is being a violent ragepire and beat him unconscious then drag him around as a prisoner until he recovers. So considering that we could have them miss each other if you don't want to deal with that hassle (understandable). They're both going the same way but I can have chaos wander off and get lost since he doesn't know the area.

Also it's a thing he'll be working towards ICly but OOCly would you be opposed to them meeting up again after Enoch's gotten his stuff back from Brian, both for shenanigans and more faith/purpose type talks once he's got his humanity back? (And, you know. Actual fruit of wisdom grown in actual heaven. C'mon, vampy, you know you want the opportunity to see that!)

I would not be remotely opposed, Beckett would have a huge round of apologies to do I think and Enoch may be... even the first person he'd feel actually comfortable trying to explain things to. Might, uh, even ask his help in apologizing to the Hypers, if you and Enoch would both be good with it!

And of course I'd be up for that! And you never have to ask if Enoch is up for helping people smooth things out peacefully. Seriously, he's been internally begging for pacifist solutions for 365 years, yes please ask him he will help.

I would really love some kind of thread with Beckett while he's all hecked up on zero empathy. Either via the network if the opportunity comes up (he will probably be posting about his loss from his upcoming death so long as the event doesn't make that unfeasible), or possibly in person since he'll be reviving in the funeral home on night 259/heading east from that after, again pending event stuff.

SUP BIRB if he's at the funeral home on 259 there is definite potential for running into though be aware that at this point Beckett's main interest in anyone he meets is as a snack. Though DS may merit more attention because Homestuck and also does he have blood anyway?? So if you're game for that I am and if not I will definitely hit up his upcoming post!

He's going to be losing his spritehood and be in a totally normal human body for a while, buuut I also don't want him to get too messed up, so waiting for the post would probably be better. Which will be about asking for help with how to walk because what the heck is having legs again after three years without. Billy is in the area too, though, so he can probably meet up with him instead of a vampire who wants a snack pack that doesn't have enough coordination to run away.

(For the record, he does have blood even as a sprite! It's just yellow and kind of glowy, like somebody busted a glowstick.)
