Ecks hasn't been entirely open and honest with Nicole. She actually already has two weapons she could offer in trade (an ash shovel and a hatchet), but she needs to be convinced that 1.) Nicole won't immediately murder someone she cares about and. 2.) Nicole will actually give her some of those good good stuffed animals somehow (Ecks already has a duffel bag full of them, but clearly she needs more). Just...so you know what's actually available if she plays her cards right.

Gosh, Ecks, way to hold out on her! But nah, it makes sense that she'd hold back some information because how does she know Nicole isn't a stabby murderous psychopath?

Still, she intends to give any and all stuffed animals she happens to find to Ecks. She has no use for them, after all.
