In all honestly Bluestar doesn't know the first thing about what medicine cats do. She's also from very early in the books; later on the cats start inventing things like bone-setting and minor surgery, but at the point that she's from they mostly cover wounds in cobwebs and pray.

She'll be very surprised that he can't speak to God, though. That's an important part of medicine as far as she knows.
