THE POST-GAME "EVERYBODY GETS TO VISIT EVERYBODY ELSE" MEME

Good news! The mysteries of the town have all been uncovered and solved, and characters have found a way to harness the power that brought them here in order to return home. Even better, they've gained total control over its workings, allowing them to visit other worlds on a temporary or permanent basis. Want to go home with your new friends? Want to live on your own world but take free vacations to visit them whenever you want? It's all doable!
Leave a comment briefly describing your character's world/home for other people to comment to. Thread out a visit, create shenanigans, do whatever you want GO CRAZY

I'm taking my break! [She yells at the nurses' station, already running to the doors of the ward, pushing them open into the mildly chilly winter afternoon.]
Alfie! [She's running to him, but stops awkwardly a few feet away, chuckling to herself.]

[He's bent down, looking at the rims of a Volkswagen. He looks around and makes sure there's no one nearby to listen in before going on.]
These are excellent. How fast do they go? The wheels are little things, aren't they?
no subject
Depends on the car, but they usually top around 120 miles per hour or so.
[Raising an eyebrow, she tilts her head, trying to meet his gaze.]
What are you doing here, Alfie?
no subject
[That's shocking, to him. He's sure it's incredibly dangerous.]
no subject
[That'd take a while, considering she doesn't have a car - no need in the city.
She points a thumb towards the hospital, grimacing a little.]
Do you want a coffee? I'm still on for another hour but I have time for that, at least. I'll give you a tour.

[Lies, but she can cancel easily enough. She doesn't get these visits all that often, even less from Alfie.]
There's a Starbucks right around the corner, if you want. [Digging into her scrubs pockets, she takes out a couple of bills.] Here, should cover a drink. Plenty of people-watching to do in New York.
no subject
You're giving me this?
[Look, in his day, you could by a drink for a couple of pennies. Five dollars is what you pull out when you really want to get something nice for somebody.]
no subject
It's worth a lot less nowadays than it did back in your time. That will barely cover you for coffee. Don't worry, it's really nothing.

[But he goes off with a little wave to her, and when she gets off work and comes to find him, he'll be in that corner Starbucks, drinking a coffee and reading a newspaper. He lifts his cup to her when she comes in.]
Here, this is called a "caramel macchiato". Have you heard of it? Can't say I like it much.
no subject
Hm, yeah. It's very sweet, isn't it? Not my thing either. I'm more of a cappuccino girl, although I do drink black coffee when pulling a double shift.
[She smiles at him, leaning her chin on her hand, propped up with her elbow on the table.]
What brings you here then, Alfie?
no subject
Do I need a better reason than seeing you?
no subject
[Smiling tiredly, she opens her arms for a moment, then has to stifle a yawn, pressing her hand to her mouth, embarrassed.]
I'm so sorry. You're catching me at the tail-end of a double shift, I'm pretty exhausted. But I'm glad to see you, Alfie. You look well.
no subject
I'll walk you home.
no subject
Okay. I got a really nice bottle of scotch waiting for an occasion to be opened, anyway.

I only live a few blocks away. Not the nicest neighborhood, but it's home.
no subject
[He'd spent the walk over staring up in awe, and he's doing the same thing now.]
no subject
[It's an invitation, and she knows it.]
no subject
There's towers in New York, in my time - I've seen photographs.
[But he's never seen them in person.]
no subject
[She would explain the World Trade Center and 9/11 to him, too, but it doesn't feel like the right moment at all. Instead, she smiles.]
We're here. [She points to a squat building the street over, red bricks walls lit up by the street lamps.] But just so you know, I didn't expect company, so it's a mess.
no subject
[He tears his gaze away from the buildings in the distance to focus on the ground level now, shooting Claire a wry look.]
Now, this looks more like what I'm familiar with.
no subject
She lives on the fourth floor, and opens the door to him, stepping in first to pick up discarded bras and shirts from the couch, kicking shoes from the middle of the floor to any corner of the room.]
Told you, it's a mess, but make yourself at home. Want some of that scotch?
no subject
Yeah, I won't turn down the scotch. Yeah.
no subject
The first bottle I bought when I got back from Norfinbury was Lagavulin. Oh, how I'd missed it.
